The Last Man Standing match is really, really, not going to work. Both men are pretty slow and dull, and this matches with this stipulation are usually fairly plodding as it is. Orton and Swagger will be awesome, though.Demonic_Jin

Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to fight off the urge to make an "HBK-HHH always wrestle the same match" joke? ****ing hard.

Needless to say, not a huge fan of that match as I liked it more the 4 other times I saw it without the never-ending 10 counts, like Summerslam or on Raw.

Anywho, that match, while not bad, exemplifies what I dislike about LMS, personally, where the gimmick is a detriment to the match. Waaayyy too much dead time. I think it benefits massively from the fact that show had absolutely NOTHING else going for it at that point. Hard not to be the MOTN when everything else is either two minutes or Brock Lesnar vs Bob Holly.

But more to the point and on-topic, I was trying to give some hope that two "slow and dull" wrestlers have done well in LMS matches in their careers. You'd kinda expect that combinations of Triple H and HBK and Jericho will turn out well (only one slow and dull wrestler in that group), while Cena-Umaga and Taker-Batista have to be something of a surprise.

Ya know, its not often that you can book a match between former tag team partners that can actually make me less interested in a show.

But damned if WWE didn't find a way.

I think the JTG-Shad feud is alright, and I like how they have a match on a PPV, but it is all ruined by Strap Match. Last year at Extreme Rules, right before the era of Straight Edge Savior Punk began, Punk had a Strap Match with Umaga, and dear God, it was horrible. Now think about this, that was between CM Punk and Umaga. It sucked. When we put two guys who, combined, probably have less talent than either Punk or Umaga...

I don't expect much.

WWE Universe has several threads up on fans upset over the firing of many stars that were reported to be released, there have been some threads on Shelton etc, but Mickie James Fans are going to RIOT Sunday night at Extreme Rules and at The WWE Draft on Monday Night Raw in Mickie's hometown. Many seem really upset over the fact their hometown girl wont be there. There are many threads up on this topic in several of the sections in WWE's forum on the WWE Universe website and some people are even planning on ordering Extreme Rules because of this. There's even a thread comparing Mickie James' release to Candice that looks pretty interesting. All I can say is Extreme Rules and Raw next week should be awesome. Will be very interesting to see how the fans respond to the releases especially Mickie James being released. I know I'll be at Raw!
