17 hours is a lot of time. Imagine how much cool stuff you could have been doing with all that time. I played 10 hours of Oblivion straight once and I still feel dirty from it. In my younger days before family and kids I played Phantasy Star Online once for 30 hours only stoping to use the bathroom. In retrospect I really should have been studyingor looking for lady friends, but now I'm broke and without herpies!yay!

Well, its not like he plays it 17 hours every day, its just something he's done once and now he's proud of it. It is his right and i have to agree, i respect that. Although i won't dare to top that. 17 hours for me is way too long.
when i first bought my 360 i played 27 hours straight, 13 of oblviion and the rest graw.i slept for a total of 14 hours the next day which messed up my whole week's sleeping schedule.bxgt
I've had my 360 for a year and I sometimes leave it on for days (I consider it a PC and I leave my PC on 24/7 so why not my 360). I havn't had any problems yet.the_real_jspark

I never turned it off and it didn't give me the red rings of death.I beat what i had left on veteran in call of duty 2, which is the hardest thing ever, then just played multiplayer for a long time. When i first bought Conker live and reloaded i played it for 20 hours non stop. Broke my Xbox, and had to buy another one next month. Stupid Microsoft! The sad part is this is true....

I've done 20 hours back in the day when I used to play WoW a lot...but that was because my mom left for the weekend and I didn't have school on Monday other that maybe I've done like 8 hours on my Xbox if that
I played oblivion for probably 10 or 12 hours during the summer last year. I think thats the most time I'll ever be willing to spend playing in one sitting...

that's a long time to play video games straight why would you play that long i can't really talk though i've played for like 19 hrs straight but i was over at my friends house and we were bored as hell but yeah i didn't get the rings of death i'm kinda bored of video games now idk why

Well ive had my 360 on for days,the most ive played was like 13 hours straight with some piss and food breaks though im not that extreme over video games.Back on the old Xbox i played halo 2 for around 18 hours.
Nope, but just leaving wont do it. The right spot on the xbox needs to get heated for the common ring problem witch can be remedied(or at least prolong it) by standing it up.
