A Gears of War rant. Just a litte venting.

Gears of War is a great game. Yes, it has alot of immature kids trying to be big and bad. Yes, there are alot of freaks in it (Including me :) ). I agree with pretty much everything you wrote aside from the opinion, yes I mean opinion, of everyone hating America. I love this country, its not perfect but its alot better than what some people have. Yes, this country has its fair share of idiots and fools but as does any other country. Dont even think about bad mouthing America when wherever youre from has its idiots and fools also.

I wasn't bashing America by any means. I love America. I am not ignorant and I was not basing society off of the game. And notice that I used the word "if". IF America is proportionally represented through the game. Go back and look at the first line of the paragraph, Shakespeare. I was merely stressing a point that a lot of fools end up on xbox live. It was a rant. If you want to call someone ignorant and talk junk you need to articulate a reason. Those are strong words, but whatever makes you feel tough or smart...waltw_84

see now that right there, i could say that...BUT i'm not a dimwitted XBL user who thinks that i can say w/e i want...no...all i'll say is that i believe he didn't and never would insult USA..nor any country, race, gender, frequency, weight, height, etc. at all!! i'm sure he just means that the communtiy that is XBL is no where close to being where most would like it in terms of a friendly gaming community....

And well if the Iraq war is defending freedom and justice, you made a right mess of that. That itself has tarnished americas reputation. considering there was no WMD and it was all about the oil.

AND that china is outbidding you for said oil, seeing as they are the worlds newest super power.

Seems like a big enough reason to not use china as an example.

Just a quick note: financially, America is doing terrible. They have no money. They have been floating on loans from the rest of the world for about 15 years I think. That and they are approximately 30 trillion dollars in debt, soon they will find themselves in the biggest recession since the 20's.

And to the topic creator: yea, Xbox live is full of dinks. Just find some nice ones (or amusing ones) and just play with them. Then Gears is as much fun as it should be.

I dunno but I feel like the Rainbow six vegas crowd is a lot more ignorant and annoying then the Gears of war crowd. And don't try and bash america please. It won't get you anywhere.MuffinPunk

Last time I was in Gears everyone complained about how much I suck and that I should leave until I get better. It really ruined the game for me because I don't have 40 hours a week to play the game like a lot of people do, plus I had just got the game and I had barely ever played multi before. I knew that I suck but I won't get better until I play it and everyone just treated me like I should leave. The people there were just really rude.DemiurgicSoul

What is it about this game? It's one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time, but half the time I join the game I get nothing but the most ignorant, ghetto, thug sounding fools in existence. I don't really care about the vernacular as much as the conduct, but the overly aggressive, rude comments just ruin the experience sometimes. Probably half or a little more than half the time people are super friendly and polite, but I just got off of a match where I heard a guy openly discussing a drug deal over a cell phone as he played the game and telling the dealer that it wasn't definate because he had to get his hands on $20 first and he was out of gas. But then my teammate killed me with friendly fire, just for the heck of it (well, you know what I really wanna say). And I was doing fine in the game. That is why I'm pissed off. My God, I see why people hate America! If the population is proportionally represented on Xbox Live, then I don't know how this country is doing as well as it is (and its not doing that well in many aspects). I'm not trying to sound snooty at all, I just really get frustrated. Xbox Live really needs a more serious complaint system, but I know there is really no solution as they are mainly concerned with the money they get from the customer. Thanks in advance to anyone who read my little rant and if anyone has similar feelings let me know.waltw_84

Don't expect decency from most of the American players on Xbox Live.

I couldent agree more with you but IMO just play ranked matches (so you dont get team killed) and just own the people who are pissing you off. But really man suck it up GAME EXPERIENCE MAY CHANGE DURING ONLINE PLAY. haha
