anyone mad about new xbox?

i just got mine last year and im kinda pissed that they might release one in 2 or 3 years. does anyone else want the 360 to last longer? i still want new games 4 or 5 years from now.riobird

I'm kind of mad too, i hate buying new consoles, too much money out of my pocket, i'll stick with my ps3, and maybe i'll get ps4 instead of the new xbox, but if someone offers me the new xbox for free then i'll take it :D

Lets just enjoy what we have now; no reason to even think what will happen in 2, 3 or even 4 years.

3-4 years is a long time as far as electronics go. New consoles have to be released to try and keep up with high end gaming PC's and to give us bigger, better, and more beautiful games. Co0kieMonsterxX

Exactly. Besides that, even if the next x-box comes out 2010, that means games will still be coming out well into 2011. I can guarantee that in 2yrs you'll be drooling over the next x-box.

I think we have another 3-4 years of this generation, sony has like 4-5, that's why I'm getting a PS3 in sept.

MS can go ahead and make another console, but they can't let the 360 die, its too good.

you know you don't have to buy the next one. they will probably keep making 360 games for a while after the next one is released.

The only way ill be mad is if it come out in 1-2 years anything longer and ill be happy. New consoles own id be mad though cause im not rich so id have to trade in my xbox and games just to get it and they never have good games out the 360 took exactly a year for a few good games and a year later for a lot. Those damn companies make all the good stuff come out in Fall. O great schools back and now the good games are here -clap - -clap- -clap- ****SystemoDown

Also the game companies do not make games based on when school is in and when you are on summer vacation.

I know they dont do it when we are in school and when its summer. But they do make it come out in fall becauses its before Christmas and theyll so more faster and that angers me

You got everything wrong, a console is supposed to last to 5 - 7 years and the Xbox 360 is still very young and i doubt they release a console until past some years, the xbox really lasted alot of time until the 360 hit the market and besides they still doing good on sales and the like, so yea there you have it i doubt youll have to pack your 360, keep on fraggin!

the ps3 is supposed to last about 10 years xbox 360 only 3 years? shows how desperate they are...

The xbox 360 was realesed in 2005 and the new xbox is set for 2010(from various magazines and video game shows check out the new Game Informer, I'm pretty sure there's news in there). This is the same 5 year period that all consoloes have been going by for some time. The real conflict is that there are many rumors going around stating that the playstation 3 is going to be late and will come out in 2012 which gives microsoft the market for two years, again!

Well you said that you just got yours last year so you have to admit that you were a little late to the party. Now im not saying its ever to late to get an xbox, but dont get overwelmed with the possibility of upcoming next gen consoles. Having said that, i dont think that the xbox 360 has peaked and therefore it will stay around for a bit. I think it will stay around for about a max of 4 years and a minimum of 2-3. By then there will be so many advancments with the xbox 360 that you will just have a room full of add-ons. Things like the HD DVD player and the messenger kit are already kicking off the add-ons. It would just be easier to make a new console. I do agree with you in the sense that it is very annoying getting new consoles. They're exciting and all but it takes ALOT of money to keep up with it. I'm not mad about the new consoles as i am overwelmed. Another big thing for me is the whole xbox live transfering and stuff. Also i dont know what will happen with the marketplace downloads. I hope i didnt spend all this moneyfor nothing. Owell. In the end it will manage to work itself out. It always does...rite?
