Anyone think halo 3 should get best multiplayer over COD4 thread!

lol im suprised halo 3 is loosing in the multiplayuer department

halo 3 definitly requires more skill...but halo 3 multiplayer is flawed, and cod 4 multiplayer isnt....and this is coming from a halo fan...i was hoping they returned the halo 3 formula to the halo 1 type..halo 1 pc online has the greatest multiplayer ever, its really amazin....for some reason the halo 3 multiplayer also accomodates for noobs, which is really annoying...they better fix the melee lag problem, cos that is really irritating

cod 4 took more than 2 years to make, cod 3 was made by a different developer, thats why they were able to pop out the games fast...dont diss cod4 cos its an excellent game, its sp definitly owns halo 3's sp..probably even owns halo 2's sp, but doesnt touch halo 1 in any way.....plus the only good game tom clancy put out is rainbow six vegas, and graw...though i dont like graw at all, but a lot of people do....vegas is phenomonal and im sure cod4 copied stuff from that game to use in the multiplayer (skills customization etc..)

You need more skil because you can't wildly fire and your aim needs to be spot on.

Short term CoD 4's multiplayer is great, but in about 2 or 3 months after having it, it starts to feel bland, and then you go crawling back to Halo 3, which is always fun, no matter what.

youre right to some extent, halo is balls to the walls and no hiding and tactiacal stuff, but as popularity goes cod4's tactical style is perfered.....also the only good maps in halo 3 are guardian, the pit, and one or two others....

yes i have beat the game. it is not on my gamercard bc i do not have xbox live anymore (havent for 1 month or so) bc i am playing AC and ME which do not require it and my subscription ran out. I will renew it when i am done with these 2 games which will proabably be awhile. Also i have played it online multiplayer, bc i have 4 roommates all of which have xbox live, therefore someone is always not playing and i can play on there accounts if i want to play halo3 or COD4.

where did i say i have xbox live gold...can you read...obviously not...my xbox live ran out bc it only lasts for one year, and i changed my credit card so microsoft could no longer charge me, and therefore i dont have xbox live...and without xbox live why would i connect my xbox to the internet..oh wait there is no reason, therefore it does not show the recent games that i have played...you obviously know little about everything

infinity ward made CoD1, CoD2, CoD4 they did not make CoD3 thats why it wasnt so good, all of the IWgames are about 2 apart, and I LOVE CoD4 and Halo 3 theyBOTH take skill

cod4 isn't skill-less.. i've let friends who've never played it play, and they got like 2 kills.. halo on the other hand, first time players can easily get more than that.

and about the whoever shoots first wins.. not really. sure you die quick, buti've killed many guys who got the jump on me. (i've also watched friends who can't play just spray a full clip and not kill the guy)

doesn't matter though, if halo is you're GOTY, fine. COD4 is mine.. just don't sayhalo takes more skill. (i could rip into it, but i wont)

I had a buddy play halo 2 once for the first time and he got 0 kills and died at least 20 times...he said the game sucked basically cause he sucked at the game...we then played COD2 and he was able to get kills (not alot bc hesucks at games, but more than 0)...we continued to play COD2 bc he was able to actually play, but once i said lets play halo 2 again he said no. That is my story, bad gamers like easy games...skilled players like good games

halo 3's multiplayer is better than cod4's multiplayer..but it has its flaws, which really need to be adressed, like the melee system etc....halo 3's multiplayer is whats going to be played for years on end..cod4 multiplayer will lose its popularity is a year or two...plus halo 3 has the brute hammer and brute chopper, oh also the brute spiker...what more could you ask for......Iron_Re4

Good graphics

Huge community to play with

Cons on Halo 3:

Online community is a disgrace

Not many different weapons (Debatable)

Multiplayer is almost exactly like Halo 2

Pros of COD 4:

Superb graphics

Many differnet weapons

Excellent ranking system

Fabulous singleplayer

Cons of COD 4:

Poor online community (Debatable)

Not many maps

Many lag issues

repetitive gameplay

Now putting all this together, I still Have COD 4 because it is my prefered game of the 2. HOWEVER I am mutual right now because I Play RAINBOW and GEARS alot more than COD 4. I am only rank 38 on COD 4 because I play it casually. I am aHardcore Gears of War player. Thank you

I agree, this guy sounds like the guy you get free kills because he runs out in the middle of the field. I'm surprised you don't see the strategic part in CoD4 from a guy who loves CoH. In Halo 3 it's basicalyshoot and melee. Don't get me wrong I love both games but CoD4 has a better multiplayer. I love RTS so I prefer to think more strategic and I love big battles. I'm very good at both games and if you don't believe me then look me up, my gamertag is Hobo4u.

I play bolth games and In my opinion I would rather play COD4, so would the 85 people on my friends list. Its not because one is better than the others its just that Halo3 is the the Halo2 expansion pack, know what I meen? Dont get me wrong I still play Halo I just have more fun with COD4. Do you have an hd tv...well if not your comment might make a little sense...but if you do put in halo 2 and just compare the graphics in both games...halo 3 is amazing compared to halo 2...often we do not recognize the significant difference in games when we have not played the previous one in a long while...obviously halo 3 is similar to halo 2, bc it is supposed to be similar, they are the same games. COD4 is similar to COD2 and COD4...its FPS, with a little better graphics, and the only real difference is it takes place in a different time period. If halo 3 took place in a different time period than halo 2 it would not make sense. Halo 3 has upgrades from halo 2, which make it better, but if it is drastically differnt there would be problems. New weapons, maps, features such as forge, and far superior graphics are all anyone should have expected with halo 3 and if you were expecting more than you are just flat out stupid

You're getting on my nerves with your logic. The games are completely different! All my friends love Halo3 because most of them are casual gamers. They also like CoD4 but not nearly as much. I think all of my friends is a better proof then your one friend :).

I played halo 2 for countless hours, and when halo 3 came out i played it a lot. I was pretty good considering i got up to a level 47 playin on my own with random ppl for the most part. There have been games in halo 3 where i have dominated far less superior players, and games where i have got completely picked apart by people playing as a team and who have amazing skill, with head shots. In COD4 and with all COD games i have noticed that I have never been dominated by players like i have in halo. The difference between a great COD player and an ordinary player is not much, whereas in halo a superior player will dominate you all the time. You may get a lucky kill from time to time, but not as much as you do in COD
