Best looking games (360)

Mass Effect looks the best yet!

Gears of War 2 looks good,but low frame rates make it a bit...laggish.

Forza Motorsport 2 is brilliant.

And Call of Duty World at War is excellent as well.

Unreal 3 has some good looking environments but the big wow factor are the gun models, they look incredible.

DiRT i'm suprised wasnt mentioned, the game from top to bottom looks amazing. There are some screen tears every once in a while but they're easily overlooked.

Assasins Creed has some massive great looking environments and the animations of Altair look so real it's almost scary. Dont listen to anyone that says this game is anything less than great.

Mass Effect is in my opinion the best 360 exclusive. It looks amazing and it's ridiculously immersive and engaging. During the first few seconds of cutscenes it takes a few seconds for textures to fill but that never happens in the game itself, just the cutscenes.

Eternal Sonata looks fantastic. It is cel shading which alot of people dont like but it's so vibrant and colorful, this game is absolutely gorgeus. Tales of Vesperia uses the same anime style cel shading but Eternal Sonata looks way better.

Fallout 3 and Oblivion have the best environmental graphics this generation. Fallout 3 is more technically advanced but the wasteland of DC isnt as pretty as Cyrodill.

As far as some other suggestions i've seen.. L4D isnt anywhere near the best looking game on the 360.. it's one of the best and most fun to play but it doesnt look anything more than pretty good. I've also played a bunch of Bioshock and i love that game but graphically it never really stuck out as one of the best lookin games i've played.. it looks really good but it's not top 10 best looking games on the 360.

And as for RE5 i found the color pallet really boring.. yeah the game looks amazing but you're looking at the same boring drab colors the whole game. I suppose you could say the same about Fallout 3 but that is a massive world using the same color pallet compared to an arguably short linear game using the same colors.

Forza 2 was incredible looking when it came out but it hasnt aged well. Play Forza 2 then throw in Grid or DiRT and you'll see what i mean.

They claimed graphics parallel or higher than that of the Halo series. Halo 3 just sunk their battleship. Tom Clancy will always reign supreme with his games.sampsondw

Argh, I hate when people mention Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, or Oblivion in these polls. L4D, while being a fantastic game itself, has AT BEST last-gen graphics, even on HD. I always thought it looked like a PS2 game, I'm sure a lot of people agree with me.

Fallout 3 looks like the PC game set to the lowest graphics setting on the 360. I never understood the fuss about the graphics, love the game though.

And Oblivion just has 'good' graphics, but nothing more.

My picks would be:

Halo 3, Dead Space, GTA IV, FarCry 2, Bioshock, Battlefield 2: MC (amazing, especially for one of the first 360 games), and COD4.

Gears of War (both) are damn fine looking games. Mass Effect is impressive too. Eternal Sonata earns points for art-style. But there are a lot of lookers. I mean, BioShock, The Orange Box, Halo 3, PGR, and a whole lot of them. But Gears of War is always what I think of when it comes to graphics.

i think the best looking games are bioshock, halo 3, gears of war 1 and 2, rainbow six vegas 1 and 2, burnout paradise, mass effect, and ace combat 6. (i have more but i thought that would be enough.)

Tales of Vesperia despite it's "cartoonish" style is one of the best looking games I've ever witnessed. I seriously thought I was still in a cutscene until I realized it was the in-game graphics when I first started playing.

Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, Gears of War 2, Resident Evil 5, and Far Cry 2 are some great looking games.

Definitely would have to say dead space is the best looking xbox 360 game imo...very atmospheric, realistic, and smooth graphics.

Mass Effect is the best by far. Gears games and Halo 3.

Tomb Raider Underworld. I'm sure that's not what most people would think of when talking about graphics, but this truly is one game that really surprised me. The character and boss animations, the detailed textures, the water and lighting effects, the rich color palette, everything shines in this game. Dark environments have a Gears of War feel to them, while huge open environments are more like Assassin's Creed.

Personally I was blown away by Prince of Persia and Tales of Vesperia. The graphics in those games were breathtaking.

Gears of War is good looking for sure, but Bioshock takes the cake. Fallout 3 comes close, and L4D (picked this one cuz of its cool graphics; mix of cartoons and reality)
