Can't play Halo 3 anymore...

Bungie is pulling a stupid move on everyone. Play social slayer. I like that more.

Like I've said before, team doubles requires mythic as well. It is mostly a bunch of imbalanced custom sandbox maps now.

Wrong! As of last week they made it mandatory. I wanted to play doubles with my friend but I didnt have the maps and it said I was missing a required map pack. At the time I had everything BUT mythic. Try it. About 3 weeks ago I was playing Doubles with another friend, no mythic required. I was pretty annoyed when I saw that it is now required. UNLESS, they just changed it again. But as far as I know I had to get mythic to play doubles because it didn't allow me to play without it.

I booted up halo 3 and I am literally staring at the Team Doubles Playlist. On the description is says "All DLC Required."

No biggie. Ijust hope they don't do that to every playlist. That is the only thing COD4 has on halo xD. Btw Kratos you need to chill with the fanboyism, hypocrisy and contradictions.

I came back from a break of halo 3, wanting to play some more Ranked Team Slayer! Then I find out...that I can't anymore, It says I need "Non Mythic DLC" to play ranked team slayer now. That means I have to buy one more DLC...(Which was never required before) This is the nail in the coffin for me and console online gaming. I'm not renewing live nor buying any DLC from now on.Sliverwarrior

Every post i have made was just saying that Halo 3is more kiddy then COD 4. But all the Halo fanatics were so offended by by me saying kiddy they couldn't see that. Yourself for instance. It has zero relevance to the topic. But when i have all the Halo boys bashing COD 4, which honestly dosen't bother me, I just hate stupid fan boys, i decided to prove them wrong. Which i believe I have for the most part.Again I don't hate Halo I am bout to play it right now, ijust really hate the little fan boys that will defend the game even if they know there wrong. Im done with this thread becasue there is nothing more I can say without repeating myself.

1. wait till the new halo comes out in fall which u get all the maps.

2. go play on pc and play better games with mods, and maps get released for free in patches instead of paying for it

I have both Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, and while CoD4 is more gritty, I'm also at a loss as to how Halo is kiddy. Or even as someone else said, "kiddier than CoD." Why not just say CoD is grittier than Halo? It not only sounds more intelligent, but it ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE.

OmG Street Fighter is teH kiddy! I play Mortal Kombat because it has more blood and body parts ripoff!!! :roll:

Playing Gears and CoD doesn't make you more mature lol. At least that's the impression I'm getting from some posters here. Why be so insecure about a game having colors in it? It's Halo's art direction which makes it stand out from the usual "gritty" and dull looking games that keep coming out. Anyways, I like all these games so I win! :P

Never said anything about players making the maps. Just saying that all these custom sandbox maps are ruining team doubles. The maps are imbalanced in that if you don't control the middle then have fun getting spawn camp.There isn't even really a fair chance to come back because you spawn in the same 2 areas. Not to mention that they are making almost all the playlist impossible to play with some sort of dlc. It will be a matter of time before social slayer and skirmish are screwed.

Exactly. I hardly ever play the Gears of War 2 maps because there isn't a annex playlist. I would rather have them in rotation then pay for them and not play them.

In my opinion Halo 3 and CoD4 have very different gameplay styles, which requires different graphics, neither is neccessarily "kiddy". Halo 3 is about quick, fast, pure-gameplay action. CoD4 is a bit more about the actual "experience", it wants to get you into the mood and atmosphere. In Halo 3 you feel more like your playing an awesome game, with some sick gameplay, it doesn't draw you in as much. CoD4 makes you feel more like your a marine fighting off terrorists in tense situations. Its reflected in the sound too. Halo 3 has announcements about various medals you get while your in the game, such as "Killing Spree!", CoD4 has various yells by your teammates, " Take no prisoners comrades!". Halo 3 is about pure gameplay, CoD4 is about the experience. Both have incredible gameplay, CoD4 is just a bit more immersive. Personally, I like Halo 3 better, and play it far more frequently.

As for some of the points being argued here. If you snipe someone in Halo 3, they actually do have a massive amount of blood go onto the wall behind them. I honestly think Halo 3 should have a T rating , but thats not a bad thing. Halo's gameplay is incredibly tight and polished, each weapon has its own disadvantages and advantages, they can even be used multiple ways in many cases. Halo doesn't want to spend time with an elaborate dieing animation, it just wants to get the dead character out of the way so the living ones can focus on combat. I think Halo 3: ODST is going to try to try to have a more immersive CoD4-ish experience, so we'll see how that works out.
