Thats good to here for me because realistic games suck, whats so exciting about going around turns at 20 mph.

It's fun after you learn how to do it. Because if you go in turns at 20 mph, you obviously can't race.Â

Arcade like you say. Sounds good, I'm not that good at simulation racing games like Forza. Thats why I like Burnout so much.:D
Im downloading it now. Hope its good.
Same here......racing sims are a little to boring for me. In the Forza 2 demo if you nip the grass at 50 mph you start losing control of your car.

Well what do you expect it to do? Have some anthropromorphic turtle with a big head pop out and start eating the grass for a turbo boost?

That would actually be fun (sounds like you're describing Mario Kart). Nipping grass a 50mph and losing complete control over your car is not realistic by any stretch of the imagination. (unless your tires and suspension is completely jacked up). Now if that grass was ice then I would be all for the antics in Forza 2.

That just means you lack the ability to actually brake before a turn. Whats so exciting about doing 180mph around a 90 degree turn?

Actually you only start losing control of your car once the wheels touch the grass because guess what? The wheel on the grass is now spinning at a much higher rate than the wheel thats on the pavement= LET OFF THE GAS!!
its called exageration but its pretty much 20 mph. One second your going 130 in a lambo and the next you start braking and start curving into the corner 80% slower then you where, boring.Elementguy13
You just brake before a turn, you brake into the turn and then it's pedal to the metal to power accelerate out of it. You actually come out of a turn doing 140 mph or so.
But you know, it's real racing what Forza 2 is. If you don't like it that's cool. I'm not saying you should. I'm just saying you were wrong about the cornering because it's not going slow if you do it right.
I just like fully realistic games, or, a completely unrealistic one (like Burnout). I don't like the stuff in between.Â

There is just one problem. You don't lose control when you touch the grass in Forza 2. You only lose control when you keep accelerating once you touch it. And that is realistic. Going from pavement to grass is totally different and you will slip if you accelerate as much as you did when on the pavement once you enter the grass.Â
Played. It's not so realistic. It's more arcade like. Definite pass for me.FearlessSpiritYour saying its more arcade like in comairision to the previous ones right? I hope in the final game you have settings to make it more realistic. Everything I read lead me to believe its somewhat flexable, crank up settings to make it a sim, or crank em down to go the arcade route. I like the learning curve and challenge on a good sim racer, mastering track times and what not. Flying around a track burnout style (finger never leaving the gas) with your opponents rubberbanding up to you is no fun to me.

Well, yeah. They just didn't go for the realistic experience that's all I'm saying. Great for Rally Sportchallenge fans though. Not so much for me.Â

[QUOTE="madskills6117"]^^^ I must be playing a different demo. WillT12345So what do you think about it?
Actually that was directed at the guy who keeps debating my claim that nipping the grass at 50mph will not cause your car to start salsa dancing like it does in the Forza 2 demo.
I loved the demo I though it was so much better than forza 2 for starters there are no jaggies like there are in forza two the game looks almost real, And to me the driving in itself is better less annoying and easier to get to grips with, plus the damage on teh cars in DiRT is insane it sort of acctually affects the way the car handles as well not being able to reach full speed and taking longer to accelarate and sometimes because of the damge the car will start to slightly drift to one side because of the damage done to it. Much more realistic than forza 2 in those terms, plus the fact that DiRT will have a 100 player game mode online its just too good to be true. ihateyou_right
The active damage model wasn't featured in the Forza 2 demo. The demo only had visual damaged. The full game will have full car damage which affects you're performance and steering.Â

Well your wrong. You can ride through the grass and even touch it with no problems. The problem arises when you accelerate through that grass or forget to take your foot off the gas. Thats what causes the car to start dancing.

No, I'm just saying you shouldn't push the gas pedal at all when you make a mistake and land in the grass. You can keep it perfectly good under control if you don't. It just controls different then on the pavement but that's logical.Â

Well the difficulty settings affect the game the higher you go it turns more into a simulation
Overall the demo was great the amount of damage and the enviroments are very interactive, like crashing into the tyres and the bounce around the track and land on your car. The graphics are great aswell the incar view is very nice. Thats one thing i didnt like about the forza 2 demo no in car viewÂ

The full damage model in Forza will allow you to render your car totally inoperable. You make a mistake you will pay for it.

Alright. I was just clearing it up. The Forza 2 demo has cut allot of features from the full version. For example, the wireless steering wheel doesn't respond like it will in the full version. It responds just like PGR3 in the demo.Â

I didnt like the Forza 2 demo, not that i am not good at it but it just doesnt feel that great to play simulations IMO, i find games like Collin McRae and PGR3 and NFS more fun but thats my opinion and the game demo is great if you like racing a definet winner in my eyes.
Plus Forza 2 makes my eyes bleed U_U
And i understand why that guy says you turn at 20mph but he just exajerated it, when you turn in Forza 2 its great if you know what your doing just not to fast and brake with the trigger not the A button, plus forza 2 grass seems slap my car around.
