Game of the year 2008! opinions

starcraft 2 and splinter isnt coming out in 2008. And theres no way that lost odyssey will get GOTY, theres alot more problems with its gameplay, even though its art and cinematic direction was superb.

Gears of War 2 is a definate GOTY contender.

Here are my unbiased opinions: 1.)Metal Gear Solid 4 because there is simply no game with such an apotheosis of an event like Metal Gear Solid 4.

2.) Little Big Planet because its fresh and new and takes elements from gaming that we remember in the past and revolutionizes it with the future. To me this is one game that is actually diffrent this year and is fun.

3.) We can't forget GT4 which was in international media hit, but was it overhyped. This is a strong contender, but some may think its overated and that its not funner that other games out there. But again this game has a story to match that of The Godfather and supplicates us into its story.

4.) Fallout 3 definately a contender because its fresh, but the thing is it might get beaten by the stronger previous three.

Other notable contenders: Call of Duty 5 I doubt it, Gears 2 nothing new but the unreal engine, and Resistance 2 has 60 mulitplayer, but the thing is these games are for fun, but they fail to have good story elements and new innovations like the top 4.

What many people forget is the appretiation for art and storyline that goes into the choices. You have COD4 on the list and I am sorry to say this overrated game is most likely not going to end up on the list. However with storyline in mind and overall gameplay I see GTA 4 on the list, Fable 2, Dead Space, and quite possibly Mass Effect which has some of the best voice acting and some great graphics and storyline to boot. Although I do doubt it, a PS3 console game may end up on the list too, but I doubt it, the PS3 is the worst rated console out there right now.

COD:WAW is in the pacific theatre. Not in Japan. If it goes by history they'll never actually invade Japan just Japanese territories.

but nearing the end I feel its either going to be Gear2, Fallout 3, or Dead Space.

not sure. Dead Space was great many agreed (I'd say a halo type game with horror, new better additions to game play)

Fallout 3 was cool even tho i personally dont like RPGs (I'd say like a bio-shock type game)

and Gears2 which u never know. once it comes out ppl might slam it down wit a bunch of negativity. but im gonna love it.

Dead Space or MGS 4.

Playing Dead Space gave me hope for future games. The awesome menu system to the atmosphere, it grabs hold of you and never lets go. The gameplay sets standards for future horror survival games.

MGS4 has the best graphics I've ever seen and one of the best storylines. Mgs4 is action packed it feels like your playing a movie and you control what happens. All the tweaks and gameplay changes really revolutionized the MGS series

Lost odyssey is pokemon lol. Wow this has to be a joke. Don't like the game fine don't like jrpgs fine but it's like pokemon? Wow that's pure racism right there. Oh it's made by the Japanese everything must be the same. Obviously that's the most logical thing i've ever heard.

Brawl is loads of fun but i guess some people can't pay enough attention to a game unless there's loads of blood.

Ninja gaiden is awesome i guess some people just can't handle a game that actually takes skill. Don't worry not everyone is good enough to play it.

Mgs4 is gay I don't even wanna know why you think this.
