Gears Of War Movie (2009)

lmao i love the way the people who were screaming that this movie was cancelled in the beginning of the thread completely shut up.

Anyways, being a big fan of the game, I really hope that they don't mess up the movie. It has great potential and hopefully it will be a blockbuster hit.

I hope this movie gets made, same with prince of persia, god of war, halo, and metal gear solid. Even though they may end up sucking, their is still potential for a good movie. I just hope prince of persia isn't too much like alladin. And for marcus fenix, henry rollins should play him.

Why are people suggesting a second rate wrestler to play the main role in the movie version of one of the best 360 games? I seem to remember a huge backlash when The Rock was in Doom, but putting Batista as Fenix is such a stupid move. There is only one guy that can play Marcus and everyone that is old enough to drink (hence old enough to play the game)knows who I am talking about.

The actors are going to be worked out alot, to atleast look close to the muscularity of the videogame characters. Just like Cristian Bale has to work out in order to be Batman.MaDNuGgU

I cast Christian Bale as Baird. I don't think that looks alone should be the end all factor for suggesting people for the roles. He doesn't look like him but he would be able to play that guy really well.

their is no movie, it was announcede 5 months ago, they dont have enough money for filiming, the set/costume/etc. they were only givin a million. same happend with the halo movie. and i think the god of war movieSaintsRowSam

yeah because its story is so original (sarcasm). dont get me wrong i love gears' gameplay. its awesome, but the whole shooting aliens thing is kinda old. the story really didnt have too much depth at all. they really dont even say exactly why the locusts are there.

Yeah, I got the chance to gaze upon the script. There was only one word written in the dialogue for the entire movie:

"BOOOOOM!"
