o yeah i forgot about that event i will look into that but i will probably be watching 28 weeks later and also you can design a emblem and send it to bungie and if it is good enough it gets in the game http://www.n4g.com/dev/News-37504.aspx

I posted this a long time ago, of course most of it is old for the people who are up to date with Halo 3 things. 

for real this topic has been up since february since then the only new news that has come out was the date, how many maps, how long the beta will last, and some other small tidbits.

What about the Friends and Family program?

On May 11th There will be a semi random drawing of active B.net members that will recieve the "golden ticket" to the beta on that day.

i got crackdown as a gift today anyway i go to download beta but it just says 'check back at a later tie to download.' any help?6matt6

Everything will be explained about how you will download it on May 11th and 15th.

Hopefully getting Crackdown tomorrow. Ordered it through Play-Asia, as they had a Weekly Special, so I got the game for merely $30. :D I should be all set for the Beta then. :)K4ss3r

umm from what ive just read, its onlyh the launch copys that get invited to the beta and that game came out a few months ago, so unless you know it's one of those games then i don;t think you'll be getting in on the beta...

I actually went into Circut City a couple of days ago and all of their copies of Cracdown still had the invite stickers on the boxes.

so ive been playing the "hallo 3 bata" demo for the past couple hours.  its neat.

thought I'd add these to the main discussion thread.  enjoy.

I was just watching one of the Halo 3 videos today and came up with an idea.  Why isn't the player able to hold the frag grenades before throwing them?  They're on a timer, so the grenades are useless against anything they can bounce off of (if I remember correctly).  The user should be able to hold the grenade for a few seconds (risking it blowing up in their hands) before throwing it so it could possibly blow up once it reaches a target. 

Good idea or bad idea?

i didnt see the human pistol or the sword anywhere in the beta. my guess is that bungie didnt want people b***hing about the sword and they want to keep the hype for the pistol until the game comes out.

your ideas?
