this the loop on g4, dan hsu from EGM says he played a bit of the single player and IT ALREADY LOOKS WAY BETTER THAN THE BETA!!!!! so yeah...ppl who keep complaining, heres proof that ITS ONLY A BETA!!!!!! DONT JUDGE A GAME BY A UNFINISHED DEMO!!!!!! and quit comparing gears, gearsofwar will never have the depth and scale of halo

Make sure it's a copy that has the beta though. Not all do, only the initial launch ones.

I've been told that all copies of Crackdown have the beta, not just the marked ones which was what I was told before.  Now I'm really confused.  primehunter326

I hate to say it... and yes i will still play it, but it doesn't look that nextgen impressive. All the videos that I've seen from this site and other don't make me scream dear god I must have this game. Maybe I lost the Halo 3 bug.extremepleasure

Play Halo 2, then come back to the beta. Its way better.

Anyway, Its a beta. Bungie  is still working on it. I hope Halo 3 makes the same impact as Halo: CE, not like Halo 2. Halo 2 sucked.

Cant wait till 2morrow morning!!!!!!!!!! im not the biggest halo fan, but after seeing the HD videos the beta looks amazing, i played halo2 the other day for the first time in a year and it looked terirble hehe, this Halo3 beta looks so impressive already.

yes but you need to have the disk in to play it.

so it won't matter if someone downloads the beta onto their xbox using a copy of Crackdown but then I used the same disc to download it to my system?  I know it will only work if you have the disc in your system because you need that to launch the beta.

What time does the public beta start? I thought it was at 12:01 am tomorrow, but the counter on bungie.net puts the start at 7:00 am eastern.  Does anyone know? Also, i was accepted to the beta in the first round of applications, but have not recieved an email with a code for the beta. does anyone know if i need one? HELP PLEASE!!!gruntkiller1

If that is the case then it won't matter if someone downloads the beta using a particular disc because I'll stil be able to download and play the beta using that same disc. I hope we're right on this one.

You download the BETA. Its puts the BETA into your demos folder on the hard-drive.

You go to the dashboard and you play it like a normal demo.

Its really not that complicated.

If you still don't understand me, then you never will. Give up and turn off the computer.

I don't understand why we were the ones who had to wait the longest anyways...we were the ones who paid money to get into this beta (i bought crackdown for crackdown and it's an awesome game, but i also got it knowing i'd play the halo 3 beta) and so i don't understand why everyone else has been able to play it for a few days now and we're still stuck waiting...PAB510

I still have not gotten my email with the code yet? Hopefully it will come before all the kids get out of school and begin to download it.
