i kno there have been many threads like this, but i just wanted to say that halo 3 is better than cod4, it has the forge, amazin weapons, vehicles that are amazin, etc......plus i think a lot of people like cod4 cos its more noob-freindly, if you shoot a person 2 -3 times theyre dead, whereas in halo you need skill and need to empty more rounds into a player to be able to succeed, thats why i think a lot of people like cod4 better....it also could be because cod4 moved into the mordern era, so people felt like they were playing a idffernt game........also if cod4 is bettrer than halo 3, why did both ign and gamespot rank it lower than halo 3.......halo 3 scoring higher is a testament to it being better than cod4....Iron_Re4

COD4 requires more skill end of story. You actually have to play your approach and work as a team where as Halo 3 is just running around shoot, melee, repeat. I really only play halo online when friends come over. I play COD4 online more but actually i haven't been online much cause i'm still busy going through my second playthrough as a renegade in mass effect. Both sp games are short. Both were fun for the first play through. In reality if you get shot you are going to die. It doesn't take a whole clip to kill someone in real life. Thats why I like COD4. You have to be precise and tactical to be victorious. Anyone can play Halo 3.

Edit: I like both games and enjoy both so enough with my game is greater than your game threads.

As great as Halo 3 was, I like cod 4 better...It just feels so good shooting pistols and rifles as if it were the real things. The framerate isis smooth as well.That's my opinion though But hey I like both.

Some people say that the planet in the legendary ending's planet is supposed to be a forerunner planet but Im not to sure to be honest.

first of all i never sai COD4 was short or shallow, its a great game, and i play it a lot, i just said that it takes 2-3 shots so its easier to kill in cod4 and thats why a majority of people like it, i love it too, but i like halo 3 better.......both games r awesome.....

well halo 3 got a 9.5 from ign too, and if you listen to their podcasts youll learn that theyre editorial and advertisment sections are separate, and the editorial reviews arent affected by their advertisers...do some research before you go on ranting.......

i only made this post because of the number of COD4 threads that were made to diss halo 3.....i dont realise why COD4 cant just respect halo 3 as an amazing game....me as a bigger halo fan than COD4, i respect that game, and i kno its good, and i only wish that others would do the same to halo 3.......

oh and if i was mistaken, i said that halo was tough online and required skill cos i have been playing halo 1 on pc online, which doesnt have any auto aim assist, so i wrote that it required more skill in that frame of mind.......its significantly easier onthe consoles.......getting a 3 shot kill with the pistol using a 360 controller on the pc version took me some time to perfect...lol

Its amazing people counter calling CoD4's MP shallow by saying about the weapon customization and perks when the customization in CoD4 IS shallow. You can only pick one attachment. What you can't have a silencer, and a grenade launcher, and a scope on it like in reality. Nope its shallow and it makes you pick 1. The perk system is flawed because you can really pick what combos you want it has to be certain things in each category.

i mean cmon how can "racing to get the best weapons or else you will lose" type of multiplayer be better than starting with your own gun that you customized to your liking!! cod 4 is just miles ahead on halo 3. with customizable weapons, UNLOCKABLE WEAPONS, gaining XP whether or not you win. lemme elaborate on the XP deal.

ok, in cod4 if you get on a terrible team and you lose, you still get XP and could even go up in rank, unlocking weapons, attatchments, perks, camo etc.....HOWEVER in halo 3 if you are trying to gain rank and you are on a terrible team and you lose, not only do you not gain any XP, you go DOWN in rank. you lose your rank...because someone ELSE made you lose....HOW IS THAT BETTER?! really Iron Re...i want you to answer that question...
