yep, i just turned in the form to join the army. well before, i thought army was gonna be like all sad, and depressing. but after playing some shooting games and getting the thrill, i have decided to join the army. has a videogame motivated you to do something?sofakingfat
So you joined the army due to a video game.. thats funny.. scary, but funny.. just don't share this info with the enemy if you get caught behind enemy lines as they might make an example of you..rememberto reload when given the opportunity and make better use of cover !
Wow, that's a big desicion to make from a game. Well it's your desiscion so I hope it works out. The most a game has ever motivated me to do is probably sports games getting me to watch more sports on tv.
That is just sad. You shouldn't join the army because it's glorified in a video game. Watch Saving Private Ryan and then tell me you want to join the army.
Thanks to GTA i now steal car, murder people for 100$, deal drugs and get drunk with friends on a daily basis.
Seriously though this thread is lol.
Reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e4ES0RGz4o (A cool game that's real life and not a game at all!) (Not RickRoll)
And http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiIOzdUdsuk (Drop da Bomb "Yvan Eht Nioj) (Not RickRoll)
Both the Simpsons "Join the (military force) Propaganda".

Lol the proper grammar would be "I want to be a Master Chief when I grow up" since undoubtedly all the 10 year olds (on Halo not necessarilly you !)also would like to be a Master Cheif. Actually now that I think back to my sophmore year when Halo 3 came out it actually made a friend of my friend want to join the Marines and I thought "Wow those are absolutely NOTHING alike".But still, even approaching our Senior year, hecarries around this Marines backpack he got at a career fair and talks like he's a bada** when he's really not... At all... He isn't even good at Halo 3.
army training must now be a really scary place if people are deciding to join because of playing COD. The tactics instructor will have a hell of a job No you don't lob all your grenades as soon as you land. No you can't dolphin dive No you don't run faster when your knife is out instead of a rifle :PAvenger1324Aww yes, the old knife speeds you up from Counter Strike and CS: Source. Very good games. Counter Strike has influenced me to be a terrorist so I can buy Dual Wieldable Pistols and Ak47's.
that sounds like a plus...Not to mention ur pregame lobby for war isn't trash talking 12 year olds.

yea 1 game really motivated me to do something crazy.... its called gta 4 and what i did is thaat i pulled out my cell phone.... went in the cheat menu and spawmed a Helicopter then i got my friend in it and we went to Logan Airport to go do some motorcycle tricks.....
oh yea and when you die in iraq.... you dont spawn... its just a hardcore game of death match.
Half life 2 has inspired me. I'm growing a beard.MuffinPunkNice. Do you have Glasses and a crowbar? that would be funny to see on your blog or sumtin
Guitar Hero inspired me to be a Guitar Hero and Rock Band inspired me to be a Rock Band... no seriously i am a One Man Band! Firstly when i go on stage i do some vocals, then guitar ,then drums and save bass till last :PNeversoft_CorpOh so you mean Rock band unplugged inspired you?
If this is real then The Army apparently took away the IQ test.
Just a quick tip for you. If they say your being stationed anywhere in America.
This is code talk for "Your being thrown into a war zone full of sand, Taliban, and IEDs; Enjoy :D!!"
[QUOTE="Innocentguy757"]You don't think, but you don't know either. Plus a lot of times people who join the army join for the rush, or to do something exciting or different. This could be one of those cases. There's nothing wrong with serving your country. He has to be at least 18, so I'm sure he knows what he's getting himself into.chaoscougar1you really think that? i really dont think any of us know war unless we actually experience it, saying we do is ignorance and an insult to those who have served. to be honest, i dont think he has a clue as to what he has gotten himself into Thats why they get intense training and yes I respect the people serving our country

You're serious? You want to join the Army just because you played some shooting games?

But i do see your point, we cannot understand war truly unless we actually experience it ourselves, one thing for sure is war does not bring joy, unlike a video game LOL!

C'mon man, CoD4 is about Marines. Hate to tell ya, but you won't be getting as much action in the Army compared to the Marines, even if you're infantry. Even the army infantryman are more of an occupational force than on the attack. We're the tip of the spear man.
