You're kidding right? If you aren't, then I must say, you made a bad decision. My brother left for the military about 2 years ago, he came back an absolutely changed person. The stuff that he went through was too much for him and he felt that if he hadn't of quit, he would've died. His life was basically ruined after that, my father shunned him, he was in debt, and he had no friends to talk to.
It isn't as great as you think it is, it can have a serious toll on your mental and physical well being. None the less, if this isn't a joke, I wish you luck.
I hope this is a joke. Being in the real Army is nothing like playing a video game. You really need to think about what you are about to do. If you are joining because you think it will be like a video game, you probably will be sad and depressed really quickly.
Wow I would think you guys would WANT this kid in the army rather than sitting on the couch PLAYING video games right? If he goes over there and helps out in ANY way isnt that better than him doing nothing? Just remember OP - even if you go 30-1....you called in your uav, airstrike, and chopper and you are on a roll....you still went....well....that 1. congrates on joining the service. what MOS did you pick? and a word of advice, you will have ZERO thrills when you first go to basic but it get a lot better towards the end when you get to mess around with weapons and tatics. I loved that part of it. As far as getting deployed, Afgan has a lot of "running and gunning" going on right now so hopfully your get the ride of your life there lol
I'm not being funny or ote but everyone here is thinking that the army is all about being on the frontline with a gun and shooting people. :roll: Its not. There are loads of trades in the army. If yu just want to join so you can say your in the army then be a chef? You can be an electrician, a vet, a plasterer, a plumber, you can be anything in the army. Its the best way to get a trade. And if your in for long enough you will have a birlliant retirement!

Whats concerning however is the amount of people that believed the TC, I don't think alot of people on here are as stupid as the TC. So does this suggest that soceity is so broken that we could all potentially believe that someone would be so influenced by media and be so idiotic aswell?
TC's gone, but with the amount of stupidity around these days, i wouldn't be surprised if he/she/it actually went out and applied for the army. makes as much sense as GTA being the cause of murder or carjackings. "Hey, I can press the A button! Damn, I kick ass at this game! I can do anything!"
