i hate myself now

my 360 was overheated and i got the red ring, i thought if i jsut put it in the freezer for a little while it may cool it down, but it didnt work and all it did was ruin everything inside. And i called microsoft about getting them to fix it, but they wont take it anymore because i screwed up the warranty by putting it in the freezer. Was that a bad choice?, and what should i do?

He pretty much ruined it, by saying putting it in the freezer ruined the insides, that means he would have taken it out and tried it or somehow found the insides were ruined. Then he claims its still in the freezer. Not that that is why i think it's a joke topic, seriously, whoputs a 360 in a freezer to cool it down?

Well if you really wanted to cool it down, you shouldve have "wrapped it in alumunum foil and stuck it in the microwave; the foil causes the microwave to have a reverse effect on the XBOX, and, therefore cools the core temperature of the system"

Don't tell him to do that - he's probably daft enough to do it. Then he'll be wondering why his house blew up.

This can all be solved with logic, and simple math equations.

Freezer = Ice
Ice = Water
Xbox = Electronics
Xbox+Freezer = Water
Water + Xbox = ...Anybody?...Anybody at all?

That was really dumb, all you had to do was sending it back to MS. Now you called them and admitted to voiding your warranty. You're only option is to buy a new one. Or just send it back, don't tell them it was in the freezer and hope they don't notice any self inflicted damage. Worst case they send it back, best case you could walk away with a refurbished.

Take it out of the freezer along with a frozen pizza. Plug in the 360 and cook the pizza on it. That won't fix your problem but at least you would have pizza.

hmmm yeah putting something the gets hot like that in the freezer was def not smart it causes condesation and will ruin every single part inside your 360. people need to take science class or something because if it were as simple as freezing the cpu and stuff then they would just put mini fridges or something on top of it.

buts it not because that causes problems and notice that in pcs they only use fans and heatsinks which job is to cool the pc by pulling heat away form pc and blowing it out the case.

so yeah what you did was dumb but i feel for you.
