CoD4 is now played more than Halo 3.

Why is such mediocrity in a game being rewarded on such a large scale?

Halo 3 > CoD4

Here's why:

Halo 3 takes skill

Halo 3 has diverse gameplay

Halo 3 is about more than who-sees-who first

Halo 3 > CoD4

God this argument is hilarious...due to its pointless nature.

I personally stopped playing Halo 3 after my first Call of Duty 4 experience. COD4 MP on hardcore setting seems a lot tougher to me than Halo 3, although if we could define exactly what "skill" is for the game we might have a valid discussion here. But then again, the fact that they are both two radically different games almost makes "skill" undefinable when comparing the two.

Thats what COD 4 is also [shoot,melee], except you can't jump unreasonable heights. I'm for COD4 , your just jealous of the series' popularity. If you hate it that much, then just rent it. Its the best game I've even played.

It's because call of Duty 4 is more fun to play and actually has rewards, the only reason it was not played more then halo 3 before is because not everyone pre-ordered it.

And do NOT come here and say halo takes skill cause it does not! Not saying CoD 4 does, cause it definately does not, but it takes just as much skill as halo 3 does. RSV takes skill GoW takes some skill, but not halo 3 and not CoD 4. Call of Duty 4 is just better then Halo 3, it has better level desighn, it has better weapons, it does not have a messed up rank system, it has better graphics, it has more levels, it has better game-types, it has far far FAR deeper multi-player, plus it is just plain more fun to play, cause aiming takes some skill, and it has very little aim assist and unlike halo 3 it does not have a Bit*h load of bullet magnitism to make impossible to miss. You sir should stop playing halo 3 and start playing a real game. Also I could put more reason's why Call of Duty 4 is better then halo 3, but I don't want to type anymore.

The only reason why I like CoD4 more than Halo 3 is this:

The Multi-player experience rewards those who live longer (airstrikes/choppers). This creats a greater need for self preservation versus Halo 3's charge headlong into battle.

Can we all just agree that...

Halo 3 does NOT take skill..all everyone does is..shoot then mellee attack..and thats it..I think I've seen true "skill" 3-4 times in that game..I love it don't get me wrong, but it's far from a "skill 1337" game..Ryuketsu2043

Go try to do that in MLG. Then tell me Halo doesn't take that much skill.

And the autoaim+no vehicles was a turnoff for me. I still play it online, just not as much as TF2 and Halo3

What innovation does COD4 have? It took out vehicles and put in perks.:?

Jumping and moving frantically takes more skill than COD4's autoaim.

And better is subjective. Looks like you've been in the cave if you can't realize that.
