Hey guys, do I have no taste because I prefer Halo 3? Come on, CoD 4 must have it's share of flaws too.
Yea CoD4 does have flaws, but smaller and not as many as Halo 3 inmy opinion. And if halo 3 is your favorite game then I think you do pretty much have no taste in video game-not a bad thing it just means you have a life. Because, Halo 3 is just kind of bland game-play-although it does almost everything well-and is not very different from anything else.
Anyway I guess I can't tell anyone they are wrong for liking halo 3 more then CoD4 because it is there own personel opinion, and there loss : )
Why is such mediocrity in a game being rewarded on such a large scale?

no joke. While I like playing Halo 3 online it doesn't take much skill. It is really about the grenade toss, shoot them and then be the first to melee. It's a fun game but CoD4 blows it out of the water. It's hilarious that you say we are rewarding mediocrity when in fact, it would be more true to say that you yourself are trying to defend mediocrity. i hope you're proud.

I dont get why people refer to Halo3 as Halo 2.5 its graphicaly superior in every way,its in fact a stunning game that employs many advance graphical techniques, I would say ur confusing artistic direction with graphics although they are related they are un-comparable (LoZ windwaker vs GEoW)
The gameplay also has been highly tuned since that last to make it a more complete and slightly harder experiance.
Im not saying its better then Cod im saying its a great Frag fest shooter (better then UT3)
Halo 3 is Halo 2.5 IMHO. yes it looks better and has forge ans films but what did they do different in multiplayer. Nothing spectacular except make evrything shiny and look good.
Halo 2 was to many the perfect game (not me i hate halo) so its very hard to improve on that but hte improvements are noticablAll COD4 had to do to be an improvement was not to be developed by treyarch. COD did alomost nothing to the multiplayer and infact took things out and added a rank and perk system besides that cod4 and 3 are the same

I just like Halo 2 more, the movements feel faster and the weapons are stronger. You don't have to waste entire clips followed by a melee attack to get a kill. I just thought Halo 3 wasn't as fast-paced. Don't get me wrong it's a good game, but I would've liked it more if they kept those essentials.
