It looks pretty good and i expected a score of around a low 9. The bosses look pretty sweet too i might buy it alittle earlier than i expected.
It looks like exactly what i was expecting it to be. I'm gonna love it. And i'm so pumped to hear Mercinaries came back.

Too bad you can't do co-op online mercenaries to see how many waves of enemies you and a friend could survive. At least they ended up including it though. i wonder if there are more characters to unlock like in Resident Evil 4.
after playing the demo, i was expecting an 8, do not care for this game ( based on demo ) at all, but i loooooovoed 4. T.T
Played it once, well, the demo. It was actually really good, although I only played it for like 5 minutes. Great sound, great environment interactivity and I think it's two player as well! When it comes out, it's probably going to be 70 bucks...which is quite expensive to me...
7.5-8 but nothing less, the graphical enhancements in RE5 are insane. Not seen in any game...not even Killzone 2 in my opinion.way higher than expected - ign sucks - re5 is a 7 at the most

how come they don't make a big deal out of the controls... i tried playing the demo and the controls were not fun to play with. Is there an option to change it?...

If you played RE4 and are comfortable with those controls then changing them to type A will really help. That's what I did.

It's going to be a great game, but it's not resident evil anymore.
Resident evil is about poo-ing yourself as you see a shadow crawing up a wall, and a groan that you can't quite place where it came from.
not bang-bang, your dead, more ammo yay. more bang-bang

It's a good review, don't get me wrong from the start... But I really hate the fact they keep mentioning that it's not a traditional resident evil game. They say it's not scary, you don't have to watch your ammo, it's more action-packed... There are also a lot of comment froms gamers like: "Resident Evil is dead for me", "I don't like it because they changed it" ," That's it I'm buying dead space", "I don't want an action-game, I want RE"...
Face it, Resident Evil has evolved. It has evolved from a pure survival horror game to a fantastic mix of the action and survival horror genre. It's no longer survival horror, it's survival action. And if you don't like that, then don't buy it. It's simple, RE has moved on to the future and is trying to mix different genres of games. I personally like it and I think it's great that the developpers are trying out new stuff on the next gen-consoles.
It would be very boring if every developper would just create simple sequels but with nicer graphics on the next-gen consoles.
So I applaud for Capcom and their courage to create a unique sequel and moving the RE-franchise into the future.

why do people like you always say dumb things like "if you don't like don't buy" we are the consumer. we have the right to complaint. we are allow to voice our opinions. we are allow to demand better. And i'm 100% sure that capcom would like to hear our feedback whether good or bad. and resident evil didn't "evolved". it change. look up the word evolved before ever using it again. It's a good review, don't get me wrong from the start... I don't mind people complaining. It's just every body is screaming I don't like it because it's not resident evil anymore before they have even played it!
Oh yeah I looked up "evolution" just for you (you should feel honored :))

It CHANGES, yeah RE has evolved and it has CHANGED into a franchise that a lot of people of the original games may not like, but a whole lot of others will like it more now.
2 completely different things i played 4 and 5's demo. that's all i needed. Because demos are ALWAYS great representations of the final game right? Because you do know GS and IGN have said that the demo was a terrible representation of the final game as was the one for 4.[QUOTE="dukebd699"][QUOTE="dthach614"] you mean you want me to waste money first then complaint. i don't have to take a bite of poop to know its poop.

"better form" did you miss that part? be honest with yourself, RE5 is not that different from RE4.[QUOTE="dthach614"]i played 4 and 5's demo. that's all i needed. In some cases. You do know that this was from an early stage of the game's development and every single site/magazine that have played the full game have said the demo is nothing like that game as well right? I like the older ones so much more but the fact of the matter is, RE5 has alot of praise and RE4 is one of the most praised games this decade so they must be doing something right.

The term survival horror has change, along with the games. Name me one big game which has come out in the past few years which is similar to RE 1-3? I doubt Capcom would have won no matter what direction they decided to go. The minority, which is what these people who whine are, are just more vocal. While the vast majority of people who do love the direction Capcom have taken, will just be quietly getting on playing the game.
and i don't like people who can't respect other people's opinions. cause in my opinion, it didn't evoled into a better form, it simply change. No I didn't miss the better form part, that's my whole point!

learn to use some proper english. "we have a right to complaint," "we are allow to voice our opinions," "resident evil didn't evolved." haha, are you asian?
Capcom knows that if you make the same game with better graphics, nobody is going to buy it. that is why they changed the game so much in Resident Evil 4. they were trying to make another change in RE5, and imo it looks like they did a really good job. i guess i will find out in a week.

I will listen to other people's opinion and I respect other people's opinion. But first of all come up with a proper opinion in decent english so the vast majority of the gamers who are surfing the net can understand you.
Now that this is settled: where the hell did I leave my xbox360 controller so I can continue gaming...
