Microsoft has labeled me a "cheater"

so my gamertag was hacked like 2 months ago and i have no idea how. I called microsoft over and over again to get it recovered and they eventually did. When i recovered it for the first time on my xbox, i realized my gamerscore went from 13,000 to 70,000+ . I did not do this, the hacker obviously did. Now, a month since Ive had it recovered, i just saw my gamerscore reset to Zero. Now, i understand if they put it back down to 13,000, but to zero!?!?! I mean, do they not know they are the ones who recovered it!?!?! WTF? Also, now im labeled as a "cheater" on my gamertag, and can't get the achievments on my previous games back. F u microsoft, f u. I worked so hard to get those 13,000 on the effin dot.

The hacker probably game-savedwhich is why your gamerscore got reset to 0. Game-saving is when people use other peoples saved games in order to quickly get 1000/1000 GS in games.

Its a harsh penalty, especially when you didn't do it. But I guess all you can do next time is do your best not to get hacked.

:( , no its not the end of my life, but i do game a lot and i like to have a high gamerscore, at least people would know im a pretty committed gamer. now its back at zero, with no achievements to gain with my current games. oh well..MaddenBowler10

No one really cares about your gamerscore, man. It may suck for you, personally, to have your 'trophy case' gone, but nobody will treat you differently whether your score is 50 or 50,000.

Do you have any idea how difficult it would be to "hack" an account? I dont wanna sound like a jerk but maybe you did use that cheat to up your gamerscore and you are mad that you got caught. I dont know, maybe you did, maybe you didnt.

that sucks, but the people from the account recovery department are different from the people who search for cheaters, so it would be difficult for them to realize what happened.

You probably didn't give any password info, but there are several other ways to get into someone's account through regular conversation. For example; people asking you what your favorite car is, favorite sports team, favorite book etc...

You're forgetting that 13000 gamerscore is what he had, that's an awful lot of his time spent playing games, don't be a p***k to him because he cares about something he worked for...

On your feet soldier! You call the friggin Microsoft to take off the Cheater-thing and then you get back to the frontline and get that gamerscore back! I don't care what it takes, just get it done, understood!?

It's not really that hard to get into somebody's account. Just a little social engineering will get you about any account info you need anywhere.

I remember my ebay account got hacked, and they tried to blame it on phishing. I told them to look at my account. I hadn't logged in for well over 6 months before the incident. Hence it's impossible that I fell for a phishing attack, and the security breach was on their end. Still I had to contact customer service over and over again since they were constantly messing up my account (bad feedback, claiming fraud, ect).

Pretty much just call XBL customer service over and over again until you get what you want. I doubt they'll return your gamerscore, but at least you can get everything unlocked.

I remember you posting when you got the account back with the gamerscore increase. Bad move on Microsofts part, you should call them although I doubt they can do anything now.
