Modern Warfare 2 vs Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Im sure Modern Warfare will sell more and be more popular. But if the previous titles are anything to go by, then Ill enjoy battlefield Bad Company ALOT more.

Im a HUGE fan of Call Of Duty 1 and 2, but since then its been goign down hill imo. While Bad Company was a blast online with friends for months and months (while COD4 got stale after 1-2 months).

Also COD4 had a 4-5 hours singleplayer, while Battlefield had a 10-12 hours singleplayer.

I hope modern warefare as a longer singleplayer and the online improves though,l as I will definatly give it a try.

Both will be good but Modern Warfare 2 will be better.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in my opinion. BF: BC 2 will come close though, if its singleplayer isn't abysmally mediocre a la BF: BC 1's.atm0073

Its not, the singleplayer will have four-player Co-op AND the missions are supposed to be varied and improved. I mean Come on, How can roaming the landscape fighting waves of enemies with four friends online not be fun? And they said they will have more objective parts in it, and town parts, and fun!

But to me BF:BC2 will be better than MW2, mainly because BC1 was so much better than CoD:MW1. And please, can the CoD fanboys who think this forum is a joke because they have never played battlefield (or suck at it) and they think CoD4 was god, please can they just leave?

It's still too early say which will be better and everyone already saying which one is best is just a fanboy.

Battlefield bad company FTW.

MW2 looks exactly the same as CoD4, and there isnt even Co-op, except in like 3 different miny missions. Battlefield bad company 2 will have EVERYTHING.But this is my opinion of course.

But there are still alot of CoD fanboys who will not even give Battlefield a try, and will say it pales in comparison to CoD. Basicly you know somebody is a CoD fanboy who has not played Battlefield if they:

A: Ask if this is a joke topic then declare CoD is better

B: Say Battlefield sucks, for no reason, then say CoD is the best game ever

Or C: Say CoD is Better. No reason or anything, not even mention Battlefield.

I prefer BF over MW simply because of the variety in wich i get to kill my opponent.In MW,90% of it is just shoot first ask question's later.Wich is ok,but i like operating helicopter's and tanks,& having to defend against them.Nothing like clearing a path for my commrad's!

I've never understood the rediculous, bloated and overrated mass appeal of Call of Duty. It's never captivated me or to even pick it up in a bargain bin, but that's my view and i'm sure i'm not alone on that.
Bad company however was an excellent game and a real treat to play, #2 i'm sure will match or even exceed it. Really looking forward to it next year.
I'll spend 60$ on Bad Company2 long before i'd drop 10$ on any COD
But To each his own right.

C: BF:BC2 looks like a vast improvement over the original. But, I doubt I will get MW2 because I'm sick and tired of COD4.

Modern Warfare is by far the best game, but I also enjoyed BF:BC. I would love it if elements of the 2 were mingled: MW graphics and controls merged with Battlefield's destructive environments and vehicles.

My only gripe about BF:BC was its goofy storyline. I personally like to play serious games, and while Bad Company's stooges-like antics were definitely funny I would still rather have had a serious real-world military feel to it. And the graphics were very grainy too--they probably did that to cut down the framerate issues from having a huge environment with lots of explosions and stuff going on.

Not only that, but WaW in-general just makes me alot more angry then any other game known to mankind. I don't know why.Zach68486

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 all the way. Consider B-Company already pwned Solid Snake, I see no reason why they couldn't pwn Soap.

MW2 will be best until Bad Company 2 comes out.

battlefield 2, but not by much. i think the additions to MW2 are going to cause tons of balancing issues (eventhough IW says there wont be)...but i guess ill have to wait for the releases to confirm. Im looking forward to both.

I think Modern Warfare 2 will be a better game overall, especially as far as single player goes. However, I believe that the multiplayer in Bad Company 2 will be much better. WaW was a huge disappointment to me as far as multiplayer goes.Zach68486

Comes down to this:

For me - Battlefield will be much MUCH better. The first Bad Company is my favorite multiplayer hands down. The second is my most anticipated game right now.

In terms of polish, easy access, and user base - MW2 has this in the bag. I don't know a single person with a 360 (or PS3 for that matter), that is not buying this game.. CoD4 was one of the most widely appreciated shooters EVER, if they don't bring all of their cards to the table, they are doomed to fail. And Infinity Ward has WaW to clean up after.. so they will be adding a lot of polish to the game.

Nope, and if you think it is a joke then you obviously have not played a battlefield game. Im looking forward to Bad Company 2 way more than I am looking forward to MW2. I think BC2 will be better than MW2, but it will have a few less fans.

So to sum up, Gameplay and Fun overall Fan basis

BF:BC2 > MW2 MW2 > BF:BC2

first off have you even played BF:BC1 the vehicles are NOT overpowered at all and are actually pretty easy to kill (insert rocket/c4/mine/air strike here)

and vehicles ruin online multiplayer? what are you smoking ! becauae the last time i checked Battlefield has been around way longer than the COD bandwagon has.

and I rarely see anyone "fight" for there vehicles unless its unranked and their just fooling around. (99.9% never happens in ranked)

please take my word for it I own COD4(insert mp4 here) and BF:BC1(insert pp2000 and i know what im talking about.

even my own dumb ass friends are on the COD bandwagon its very sad rly..
