Multiplayer: A week ago I considered it a tie. COD had the good close quarters/small maps, while Battlefield has the bigger, sandbox environments with vehicles. But after playing the BC2 Beta, I say BC2 is way better than MW2. MW2's guns lack the realism and recoil that the guns in Bad Company 2 have. The destructible environment has been greatly improved since the first game, and you can take down entire buildings if you have the right weapon. I also like the way that they did the unlocking system. Even though it probably will be the better game, Bad Company 2 probably isn't going to get the same popularity as Modern Warfare, simply because of all the hype that Modern Warfare had. Single Player This is probably going to go to COD. Bad Company 1's single player was bland and boring, while COD usually has exciting and fast paced missions.

I've been playing the beta on the PS3 and wow is it a much different experiance than anything I thought possible.
The game feels very solid but at the same time it feels very fluid. It's a hard feeling to describe but just moving and shooting feels so natural. It's hard to describe the game when compared to MW2.
I think it is a much better game than any CoD I have ever played. It just feels right.
I'm playing the online beta on PS3 and I have to say that battlefield badcompany 2 is way better than cod mw2

Obviously there are some major differences. The game isn't as arcady and as fast paced and you can die much more easily. Though on the reverse the game focuses a bit more on tactics and teamwork. If you flank an enemy you can kill them with ease. The game isn't about head on fire fights may the best gun win like MW and MW2 are, you really need to use your surroundings.
The game is much more dynamic. Cover constantly gets blow away and you are constantly having to adjust your stratagy to win.

Second, many people argue that BFBC2 has vehicles and destructible environmentswhileMW2 doesnt. This slight benefit over MW2 will be completely pointless once you play MW2. I played both COD4 AND BFBC and COD4 was significantly better than BFBC in EVERY aspect. Single player, Multiplayer, Unlocks, EVERYTHING. I have to admit that BFBC was great, but it was never comparable to COD4. Even though WaW was utter crap(made by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward like it should have), MW2 is amazing and will surely beat BFBC2 like its predecersors have done before.:)
i got sick of MW2 in about a month but loved it at first, the only gametypes that seem totally balanced are hardcore gametypes, but im not always a huge fan of hardcore search & destroy and hardcore team deathmatch, in core games i almost always go positive and usually do better than 2.0 k/d, but the few deaths that i have i get so angry at, while im using a smg or assault rifle cheap deaths from akimbo shotguns and sprint knifes just make me sick, good game for some, but not for me, i dont need cheap kills to stop my ownage, plus i despise the amount of lag and the need for four bars for the game to be slightly funtional
ive played the bad company demo for a little while on a bad connection and i enjoyed it, but MW2 was fun for a some time too, ill probably but BC2 because im a fan of BF2 for the PC
now i know a game thats better than both of these though COD4 :D, great game everyone should go back to that
BC1's single player vs MW1's single player. MW1. i just couldnt take those guys in BC serious. good for a laugh here and there but from what i completed it was meh.
BC2's single player vs MW2's. can't say yet.
multiplayer. MW1 > MW2, MW1 = BC1 (i liked em both for dif reasons). BC2 > MW2. playing the demo alone has convinced me, and MW2 let me down.
So far I'm enjoying the BC2 demo a lot more than I have been enjoying MW2 lately. I have been a fan of the Battlefield series for quite some time and ever since the destructible environments were added in I can't get enough. It never made sense to me why you could hide from tanks inside of little run down shacks in BF2 on the PC.

Are you people serious? Are you not aware of how broken and terrible the MW2 multiplayer is? Bad Company 2 will pwn it so bad. I might even go as far as saying even WaW was better than MW2. What a huge disappointment and waste of 60 bucks.
I kid, I have had more fun with the BC2 demo than with MW2. The larger scale is more fun to me, being able to blast away cover, and how the weapons work seems more my style.
CoD fans say Battlefield is rubbish because they can't play it. Don't believe me? Play MW2 for a month or two and then try playing battlefield. You will have to totally re-invent your gameplay and strategies to do anything.
We Cannot Deny how much Modern Warfare 2 is a good game, no matter the lag issues, the great story and the graphics but there is no comparison between Mw2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2!
Yes, as long as you ignore the faults of Modern Warfare 2 there can be no comparison. The story annoyed me to no end but I really don't play the game for the gripping narative.
Not only that, but WaW in-general just makes me alot more angry then any other game known to mankind. I don't know why.Zach68486

its very true, they find out that cod strategies dnt work in BFBC and rather then adapt the claim the game is terrible.
