Assasins creed had a garbage ending but it was fun to play. Theres too many douche bags that play a game for hours on end, unlock everything then bash it. As far as the most overated game? It is Kakoto Chojin. Worst game on Earth. It sucked so bad, it takes the award for the rest of eternity. Settled
Halo 3 for sure. I wasnt execpting the best game ever mabe, But it would have been nice for bungie to add something new other then new weapons and new vehicles. and plus the multiplayer maps got boring way to fast.
For the people that say COD4, they just dont like it cause it takes a little bit of skill and for people to actually work together for you to be good (well at leats in hardcore) which is probably the most realstic war game ever made.

QFt. People just don't seem to understand that Bungie couldn't change the game too much, or else it would screw up the formula.
The Assasin's Creed and Halo 3. Creed because of its repetative gameplay and halo 3 because it added a few weapons and thats it to the series. IMO for all those saying Mass Effect was overrated I hope you have all played it because the game is f'ing magnificent.
CoD4 was by far the most over rated game this year. It was more hyped than halo 3. i played it at my friends house and i hated it. mass effect wouldnt be over rated if they had just waited to fix those glitches, then it would be hands down game of the year.
Bioshock is easily the most overrated game of 2007. With a game where the fun of shooting is lost and more or less a rehashed idea already done in System Shock 2 I can't say the game was good at all. The only thing it got right was atmosphere. The choices weren't that great a factor, it was easy, short and repetitive. Not to mention the lack of variety in enemies. There was no real character I got from the enemies or my character leaving all satisfaction in the kill out.Violent-M
I couldn't agree more. I think that Bioshock has really boring gameplay, as the only good thing that it has going for it is it's great graphics. Other then the graphics it really sucks.
While it was fun, Campaign was boring, ranked matchmaking was crap, and gameplay isn't really balanced, it takes absolutley no F#*K!^% skillto be good at that game. I would rather play custom game of infection or slayer....Complete garbage

bungie DID give exactly what they promised. It isn't overrated at all actually. There just seem to be a swarm of pricks like you who can't stand to see one game get so much attention. Get over it...
How is CoD4 overrated? They took a tired WW2 franchise and completely reinvented themselves and in doing so made probably the best FPS war shooter out there right now and the multiplayer customizations are top notch
Bioshock overrated? Sounds like spilt milk over those who cant beat the game or struggled in it. I thought it was a brilliantly designed game and its lone drawback was the lack of online capabilities in even the most basic sense of coop

What mode did you play?....Don't even say veteran because veteran was HARD. Unless you're some sort of freak. And have you even beaten the bonus mission at the end? I thought COD4 was one of the best of 2007.
As for overrated, I'd have to say Halo 3 and Super Mario Galaxy.
mass effect imo never even looked any good. it looked like it was gonna suck from the time it was announced. and to dude who whined CoD sux because short single player, CoD4 is made for multiplayer pwnage p10x!
#1: Halo 3 (single player turned out to be really dull and unfinished and the multiplayer is extremely overrated, worst maps ever with inconsistant melee system)
#2: Assassin's Creed (really fun when I first played it but it gets extremely repetitive and old really fast, and because of this, I haven't even finished it yet (near the end though) and played Mass Effect way more than this)
#3: Orange Box (Half Life 2 was fun but definitely not one of the best games of all time, Portal is decent but short, Team Fortress 2 really sucked in my opinion)

Qft X2 I understand this is a topic of Opinions but AC and Halo 3 are servicable games my votes is a tie with Madden 08 and All pro fotball2K8
