CoD4 and CoD:WaW= Iron Maiden, I have all their albums, except for the Blaze Bayley ones for obvious reasons, on my Xbox. I just pick one at random. If I feel like listening to something else it's usually Led Zeppelin, Yngwie Malmsteen, Whitesnake, Anvil, Jason Becker, Black Sabbath, Rush, and some older Metallica.
Fallout 3: all of the songs on the GNR radio station (in game). I mean, what else would you listen to while blasting mutants in a post-apocalyptic America stuck in a 1950s cultural mindset than Butcher Pete?
Playing these same songs (you can download them from somewhere) while playing some other fairly badass shooter like Gears of War also produces some humorous results.
The Space Jam theme music is also incredibly appropriate for most any game.
The Mars Volta, Phantom Planet (Only their self titled CD), King Crimson, and Radiohead! I like music... These all go well with any game. In my opinion.
These threads always remind me that there seems to be a strong correlation between gaming and having a preference for metal music. It doesn't seem to apply to me, though. The only metal band I really like is Tool, yet I still rarely listen to it.
