Of course they are. They're all supremely well made games, plus you won't understand what's going on in Episode Two and you won't appreciate its story unless you play Half-Life 2 and Episode One first.

I honestly cant get enough of Team Fortress 2, the gameplay is so deep and just alot of fun with friends and working as a team. I only get lag one every 20 matches. AND ONLY if its 16 players has that happened.

This is the best gameplay in a shooter maybe ever IMO:D

Hope to see some of you on team fortress 2 on xbox live soon :D

I had a great situation tonight on team fortress 2 happen... I was a spy and there where 3 turrets up and there was 45 seconds left and i went and blew all 3 of the turrets up and then snuck up behind an enemy heavy that was sitting in the corner and knifed him. Then took over the last base for the win :)

I have over 30 hours logged in so far.. Loving this game!

Is it just me, or is the voice chat in TF2 **** most of the time? i cant hear people talking, its like they talking wayyyyyyyto low. :S

1. Team Fortress 2, has a lot of life in it, it just came out so I'd expect even more soon. Some matches can get laggy, it all depends on if the host has a beefy connection to handle all the incoming players who join mid-game, that's when you'll see lag if any, however, there's a patch from Valve already out getting certified by Microsoft so it should be up this weekend or later to address the online issues.

2. Half-Life 2 is a fantastic game, 3 years later and it still holds up amazingly well, I played through it and the two episodes consecutively, and man, you won't ever get a better first person shooter experience, except for BioShock, even then it's tough to say.

I just finished playing Episode One for the first time...

I knew it was short, but 2 hours 40 minutes? It's easier to take because I'm about to start Episode Two, but still, that's way too short. 4-5 hours would have been more acceptable. Maybe I should put Episode Two on Hard instead of Normal, as I played Ep.1 on normal. Although I may just wait for a second playthrough for hard mode.

Still, 2 hours and 40 minutes of some of the best FPS action around. So don't get me wrong, I'm not really complaining, I was just surprised.

Episode 1, was really short, and IMO it was pretty weak compared to Half-Life 2 and Episode 2. I warn you Episode 2 isn't much longer so don't go be expecting something much different the Ep. 1, but in terms of quality Ep. 2 is the bestHalf-Life 2 hasever been.

I suspect that Episode 3 will be released on 360 as a DLC pack for Orange Box. Assuming, of course, that Valve manage to finish it before the Xbox 720 comes out :P I shouldn't make fun of them though, Orange Box is the best value deal in recent history, and all the games I've played so far - Half Life 2 (played before on PC), Portal (hilarious), Team Fortress 2 (fantastic except for the one game that was full of elitist halfwits - were all great. The problem is that I want to experience the HL2 episodes, but have to complete Half Life 2 first to do that (ok Orange Box doesn't care, but I don't want to spoil the story) which presents two problems. The first is that I will have to successfully complete the Ravenholm level (in the remaining darkness-free hours), the second is that I have CoD 4 preordered too.

And yes they have already made a patch for TEAM FORTRESS 2... Valve is just waiting for micrsoft to put the update up for download.

Wasn't half-life 2 made over 3 years ago? All they did was port it to 360 and it got a 9.5 on Gamespot.

i actually swore i would give up on TF2 until it was patched. it literally pained me to see such a great game preform so badly so often

The patch is already done and fixed... its just on microsoft to put the upload up.

Valve has already spoken on it...

And if it freezes after a game just open your disc drive and itll put you to the dashboard instead of having to turn your 360 off.

OK wtf is with all the bad lag these last 2 day? i cant even fhish a game cas i quite becase of the super lag. or connection to host was lost? the last 2 dAYS have been real badddddddddddddd

This is fairly true. Alot of "hardcore" Halo fans fail to see outside the box. I have friends like this who play absolutely nothing, but Halo. I find it sad, due to the vast amount of amazing art and entertainment out there.

Anyway, I find HL 2 to be amazing! So much better than the Halo story in my eyes! Much better gameplay mechanics, but Halo still has it beat in the MP aspect. I'm currently on HL Ep.1 I beat HL 2 last night and loved it! Can't stop! :D
