I recently sold my launch console it had no problems, and is still working fine _BUT_ threads like this are pointless the 360 is dodgy Microsoft being forced to give a 3 year warranty proves this. If they admit the machine is having more issues than it should... thread over!guyhunter
Not all of them are bad so thread not over....get over yourself!!!!

Ok, well if you have read what peter moore is saying that yes there is a problem with the manufacturing of the 360. Now with that said he still stated that most people are still having greatexperience with their system...Yes they did extend the warrenty for 3 years cause of the 3 red lights.. Now with that said if you read my post it said post here if you have not had any problems.. It did not say to be a smart*** and leave you smart*** comments.. Also you failed to read that I own all 3 systems I play the 360 the most cause of the game line up... Like I said before get over yourself!!!
Well what really needs to be done is everyone person who has a 'good' 360 make a thread stating it. Just like everyone with a problem does.
You see, people that come to these forums only see the large number of "My 360 is broken" threads which gives a bad impression.
But mine is going strong.
mine works. my first one was a little messed up, but that was not the cause of getting a newone. my house caught on fire and the smoke from the fire smoked upmy consoles and games and a bunch of ther stuff.christian1993
Wow bro sorry to hear that..Well I hope you get everything taken care of after that...

I second that. That is why I am making this thread again

Ok calling someone a Fanboy is not owning anyone. Plusi already explained I am a fan of all systems early in this thread..HE is just upset he sold his 360 that is he called me a fanboy...what an insult;)
I posted this beofre but since everyone now thinks their system is heading to the gave..I just wanted people to post here if they have not had any problems so people will stop worring about there 360's going under...I feel this is one of the best systems ever created..I am a owner of all three and I play my 360 the most...WMDfreeman99
You'll keep fighting it until you're own breaks oneday. And then you'll be on here making a thread called "I never thought it would happen to me...3RLOD". And you'll more than likely post it outside the sticky thread because you'll complain it takes to long to get answers there (just like everyone else). The bottom line even though you don't want to hear it is that "reality is if you own a 360 you have a very good chance of getting the red lights of doom". The very nature of your post "your battling" to defend a problem that MS has all but admitted. Face it, the 360 isn't really reliable at all. If in your mind you honestly think it is please answer these questions for us all.
1. Why did MS change there warranty from 90 days to one year?
2. Why did MS then change from one year to an almost unprecidented 3 years?
3. Why have they publically admitted that there's a design flaw and that they are sorry and want to make it right?
4. Why on earth would the be willing to lose over a billion dollars to fix a problem you think doesn't exist?
If you unbiasdly answer these with some good logic I'll consider believing you. If not then please just accept the fact the 360 is a great unit for gaming (the best out there), but it's not reliable. I love my 360, but I also keep it in my mind there's a good chance it will break (again). I'm only on my second but a friend of mine is on his 4th. But again, I still love my 360 and stand behind it completly, just not with blinders on.
I'll be the first to admit that the 360 has some awesome games, but I am also the first to admit that in my experience the Xbox 360 is a very unreliable console. I am on #5 through no fault of my own, and so are a ton of other people. Granted there are tons of people who haven't had these problems, and I really hope they don't, but when Microsoft releases a statement that says 100% of Xbox 360s have a design flaw that could lead to hardware failure, clearly there is a problem.
Threads like what you just made are nothing more that faboyish crap meant soley to try and offset this news. Some of the people who have had no problems seem to try and avoid seeing the truth. You are so keen on defending Microsoft for their actions, and that is sad. Face it guys. The system may have great games, but Microsoft said themselves that the system contains a defect that can cause your system to die.
Don't take me at my word, look at all of the topics on the board regarding this. Read the news ok, the system has huge problems. I'm so tired of hearing people defend Microsoft. They have told you your sytem has a defect. You all act like they are doing you a favor by extending the warranty on your system.....they aren't doing you any favors! They are doing this only because they know it's their fault. This is not a favor to the consumer, and some of you act like Microsoft is doing something so nice and gererous when in truth all they are doing is covering their ass!
I love the games for the system but that doesn't change the fact that the Xbox 360 has major issues in terms of reliability. I wish that none of this happened. I wish I didn't see topic after topic of "help me, teh red lights of teh doomness". But sadly, this is a major problem that we all must realize is not fake...it's very real.
I hope this gets straightened out, I really do. I want to continue to play my system, and I want all of you to continue to play your systems. I know this is a long read, but I feel that this needed to be said.

Thank you rgsniper1 for renewing my faith in this board a little bit. I posted just below you some very similar things. It is nice to see somebody else on here you can think logical and see things as they are.

Well I never said that I never had one break on me. My first one did one week after the warranty ended..I had to pay to get it fixed..Now I made this thread to try andstop all the negativity about the 360...My post said "Post here if your 360 works great". Since i have posted this thread some people like to leave ignorant post regarding me. So i just like to put them back in their place..Other then that please "Post here if your 360 works great"
Not that I'm disagreeing with you two on faulty systems, but I mean I haven't had one single problem with mine in over a year and a half and this is my original 360. It's never been sent in for repairs, ever.
So, my question is, why are some peoples consoles less likely to fail where as others are more likely to fail. Not to sound like a smartass, but I really don't think my 360 has any special pieces or parts that cause it not to fail. In all honesty I think it's lies in the way that people take care of their electronics. Not saying that all people who have had faulty 360's didn't take care of them, but I've read a lot of post where people talk about putting the system on the floor (on the carpet none the less) or cramming it in to a entertainment center or on top of another piece of electronics that generates heat.
I think, no actually I know, that there are faulty 360's are out there, but I also think that it's in the way that the user handles it that's speeding up the proccess of failure. I'm not looking to be flamed, I just wanted to share my thoughts (just as you have) on the topic. :)

Now I agree with your post.. We all understand that yes the systems are touching and yes there are a decent amount of people out there that have had problems including me. When people post things that say MS said "all their system are faulty" is crazy to me..If that was the case MS would do a recall on the systems..If they did not they would get hit with tones of lawsuits..I also played the crap out of that system that broke on memaybe there was a defect in that box..I also purchased a second 360 so my wife can play the games she like in another room...
