Judging maturity by age? That's mature. I'm 14, I don't have a sqeeky voice, and none of my friends do. Idiots can be any age, though it's true only the young can sound like annoying brats, which even pisses me off, to be honest.
you know it be nice if they had a Filter on XBL that skims out all the kids and pits you in a matches with a age group you select like 18-to what ever! with that said there are still some pretty cocky and anoying 18 year old's out. white kids who think there black the Stoner who can only talk about how stoned he is and lets not forget about Drunk Red neck (good old drunk redneck!) Thats why you have a Friends list i guess! to sort out the good from the bad! oh well for the most part i dont even use my head set i just take it off and do my thing and let who ever talk among them selfs!
I switched my Zone to Family in hopes of getting the most mature players to play with me in matchmaking. :PÂ All the cocky kids tend to be in "Underground" because they think they're tough, or "Pro" because they're full of themselves. :wink:
I think this thread is trolling because it discriminates a certain age group. To everyone who is 14 here they might take offense. And besides anyone at any age could be annoying, and the fact that people complain about high-pitched 12 year-old voices is only justified should they not know when to stop talking.
Okay one other thing. I have friends ranging from 14-30. And I play with the 30 year olds in conversations for long times and they are not annoyed. That says something.
do you hate 14 or 12 year olds? im 15, i actually think i sound 18, i'll send you a messege if you want, but i know the kind your talking about. i usually say im 17 to avoid confrontaion, and people have never disputed me.

yes any one of any age can (and on XBL probly is) anoying!i dont think this topics is "Trolling" as you put it. just a good old debate! and it is a issues a fair share of people think about at times (i know i do) but still any age can be stupid just look a Gorge Bush he's pretty old and pretty dumb too!
I'm 17 but I'm going to defend them and say yes who are you to not let consumers get what they want besides you'd think the number of 360 sales aren't affected by young buyers I don't mind them trash talking its part of having a headset get trashed talk or leave or not use your headset if you have a choice why can't they?
It's freedom of speech, we were all 12 - 13 at one time. Unless you were brought here by E.T, magically already having a broken voice. yeah yeah? no. Yes, it is wrong for a 12 year old to play gears of war, but then again, its no 'better off' if a 15 year old plays it, which i'm guessing the majority of the gamespot community are. 15 - 17. Even though I know the kind of people you're talking about, (the annoying prepubescent cuss every 5 seconds people), i still find this stuff kind of offensive since i am 15 and all, people say i sound like im 20 and I'm totally mature about online gaming, don't stereotype an age group instead say "Do you hate the annoying whiney brats on xbox live" and to answer the question no I don't hate them, I think it's fun to be in a game with them and listen to everyone make fun of them, I get a lot of laughs out of it.
Well im 14 (almost 15) and i think little(er) kids are annoying with there voices (why are they so high!)
Me and my friends arnt annoying we all have quite low voices (we all sound like adults) and we just enjoy gaming.
The problems arnt the kids its the cross country hateing , like the UK Vs USA, i live in the UK and i think some adult americans are very, very annoying!

the majority of little kids ARE LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS! however the majority of 14 year olds aren't little kids. So maybe you should change your ? to 10 year olds. because 14 year olds should be allowed on live they should just follow the same guidelines we do, even if they have a squeeky voice.
im 16 but when i was 13 or 14 i played my first online game, Star Wars Galaxies and i must say it was great and a wonderful learning experience. now, being more mature, young people annoy me because they have the most annoying voices and arnt very mature. Who are we though to say that they cant have fun just because we find their voices unpleasant? you were that way to at one time.
lets be honest here....without little kids to make fun of and have trash talk you where is the fun in the game. Besides little kids are the easiest to piss off and make fun of. Older players dont care as much.Â

let me guess you just turned 15?  basically if you ban any kids you would have to ban all kids to be fair, and in your 40's you realize that even 20 is just a big kid.
If the parents know about the parental controls on xbox Live, they should definately use them. With all the swearing on xbox it's teaching kids to use them anytime they want.
im 14, i act as mature as much as you old people do, but i admit... most 14 and under kids are annoying like my friend that i play halo with whines every time "NO DONT KILL MEH!, IM SUPER JUMPANGGGGG!!!" then he just kills me when ever he sees me. that is an example of an immature xbl gamer.

Everyone who doesn't want to hear racist, sexist, general bad language, being personally attacked, hear domestic abuse,age discrimination, and about 100 other things.
 basically why would someone want to go online?  I do, but most of the time I wish I had not.
As long as the child is mature and knows how to act appropriately I really don't care. I have played with adults who act less mature than kids on Xbox live.
