I'm turning 15 next week and I don't talk trash on XBL nor do I make annoying noises through my microphone. I hate that people always complain about kids playing games. Isn't that who they are intended for? I go on XBL to play with my friends from school and to compete in clan matches etc., not annoy people. RockysCatnipCo

I agree with most of that. But, XBL was not intended for 12 - 15 year olds. Its intention is to turn a profit, no matter what age. Its annoying that some 12 - 15 year olds 1.) play games that they themselves can not buy and 2.) trash talk and make annoying noises. I have no problems with the kids who play and don't do these things.

They should be able to play whatever games they want as long as their parents approve of it.Nobody really WANTS them on live (the trash talking ones) but if they pay for it the have the right to be on there just like the rest of usSwan-Dive Exactly.
Anyone who is mature enough should be able to handle anything on Xbox Live.
Some people who are much older than 14 act more immature than children.
They probably watch too much television.
Whatever...I think that little kids should have their own Xbox Live...so they can listen to their annoying selves all day.fore_runner
lol i couldn't agree with u more
The better question is, "Should adults be playing videogames and complaining on a videogame message board when they meet kids on Xbox Live?"wmc540
Â
That is a very incisive question.
I think people have it so easy that they complain about all the little things as if they were important. ;)
Â
I think that there should be some way to not allow kids to play M rated games, but, sadly, that's not going to happen.
It really just depends on the person. There are some kids that aren't that bad and there are some kids 17+ that are annoying as hell, and vice versa.Â
I don't mind younger gamers being on XBL because all of them are not _fill in the blank_.
As mentioned by others, I wish Microsoft would develop a filter of some sort that would allow me to choose the age demographic (at or above my own skill level) that I wish to interact with at a given time

True.. I mean I was a young gamer on Live at one point as well, but I wasnt like most of these kids.
I don't care. If someone annoys me I mute them, simple as that. I don't care if they're 14 or 40.x-2tha-z

So true.
uhh..no...im 15 and i own 30 year olds on Xbox Live...nothen to do wit ur age its about how u play...Â
Vote it up.

Why does your heading say 14 year olds but the voting question has 12 year olds?
Anyone who pays the subscription has the right to go on Live. If you dont like how people sound you have the option to mute any player you want so whats the problem?
MS should concentrate on matching players according to their gamerzoneÂ
WELL GUESS WHAT IM 14
It depends becuase there is lots of imature in that age group and matures but im not going to spoil your online gameplay so it not fair on everyone.
Well I am fourteen, and I am going to be turning 15 in August. I dont have a squeeky voice, some guy on live thought I was 18. I am not annoying like the little 10 year olds who constantly say "can you hear me?" I am not annoying, so dont hate on all the "little kids" though I wouldnt even call me that. I am mature, believe me, if you dont send me a friend request and lets game.

this very post annoys me, and i am 15....but yeah, it all depends, I have met some idiot 14 year olds and some pretty cool ones as i am sure everyone else has. We can't put them all in the same category. And btw, just because you had to justify that ur okay its annoyingÂ

And you shouldnt be allowed to play Mature games (which you more than likely do).
It all depends on the game. Kids have every right to be on live and I have played with some young kids who were fine. It all depends on the individual and the game though, but if you have to make a rule than stick to the 17+ games being for the 17+ people.
