This is what I was thinking.I think it was better than last year. Not at all great, though.
Words-of-Sorrow
all i care about is skyrim and battlefield 3 so i didnt care much for any of the kinect bullcrap. minecraft is cool though, i hope it isnt kinect only
I thought it was really good.
Excited for a lot of the slick Kinect integration in Mass Effect 3, Ghost Recon, excited to see what happens with Minecraft.
I also have Dance Central/Kinect Sports so I'll be picking up part 2 of each.
Halo: CE remake is also going to be awesome. Halo 4 was just a cut-scene, I'd like to see some gameplay before I get really excited about that one.
Love the darker tone of the new Tomb Raider, that has a lot of potential.
Wish they would have had some MechWarrior gameplay, Ace Combat gameplay, and Battlefield gameplay.
Overall though they showed a lot of stuff that has me interested/excited.
So they're ruining one of my favourite franchises (Fable) by adding Kinect, they're touting loads of kiddie fodder Kinect stuff that couldn't interest me any less, and finish by pulling a Sony and announcing a game thats not out for at least 18 months... there was nothing there for me, not a single freaking thing.
It's like they want me to trade my 360 in... words cannot describe how lame that was.
Why not forget that the 360 is in it's current position because of the support of hardcore gamers and not because it appeals to the Disney crowd or Sesame Street fans.
Sony could kill and gut someone on stage and it would be more appealing than that crap!
Mass Effect 3 and Future Soldier were the only damn decent things in the conference! Jesus! That made Sony's Gaint Enemy Crab E3 look like a master piece!
I thought it was pretty cool, and the guy from Double Fine's remark about his daughter, while obviously planned, exposes the gaming media and gamers for being out of touch with the new audience buying games, and out of touch with the people who are actually talented and making games.
It's like the people who cried foul when the Clash stopped making punk rock and made hip-hop, experimental music. I'm sorry but people don't make art, games, music, film for just one audience.
I'm actually excited for the NXE, Live TV, all those Kinect games look pretty neat.
I don't get why people have to be so self-centered and not be pleased about games being made for everyone. I get it if you don't like the line up of games, but there are other people than us core gamers and we all act like we'd support those hardware/software companies if they made nothing but core games but the truth is we wouldn't and that isn't a sustainable business model.
I'm very excited for Halo Anniversary, Halo 4, Fable: The Journey, and MW3 demo looked cool as well. I don't need my 360 to have a lot of "OMGZ Excluzivez" because I play all games on my 360. And UFC and YouTube is really really awesome.
I am a little frightened of two more Halo's in such little time fragmenting the player base extablished by Reach, but it has to happen.
Also, Gears demo was cool. This fall is packed. RE: Raccoon City, Halo Anniverasry, COD:MW3, Batman: AC, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Silent Hill Downpour, Gears of War 3, Rage, among others.
I don't see why anyone will be at a lack of games to play on their 360 this year, even if they ignore all the purple boxes.
Plus, wow the Kinect controls in Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon are mind blowing. Sold me on Kinect.
i thought it was the worst e3 presentation that anyone has ever put on, tbh
i never thought they could top last year, but they did. honestly i hate halo, but this conference made it the only thing that seemed even remotely appealing
F- microsoft, F-

Oh give me a break. The 360 isn't in the position because of hardcore gamers, plz!
You guys buy good, accessible shooters for a mass audience. That's what COD, Halo and Gears are. Why can't people accept that? Those were the big casual IPs for the first few years. There are much deeper shooter experiences than those, but they are still awesome
No, the hardcore gamer got Perfect Dark and Kameo cancelled coz they didn't buy that. The hardcore gamer didn't buy Rare's games so now they work on Kinect games.
Hardcore gamer's make up like, maybe 10-15 million users of the 55 million + user base. There are reasons why Lost Odyssey sold about 1 million copies (i thnk it was 800k)
Infact, they are actually making the 360 platform more "adult" centered since the box daddy uses to ignore his family now can be used as a fun night with kids.
The world isn't all about 14-30 year olds without children. I would actually love to play that Sesame Street game with my niece and nephew.
Gears 3 looks good, i will get the Epic Bundle. Tomb Raider looks good.gokuofheavenhonestly, i'm excited for gears 3, but the bit they showed didn't really look all that fun. shocking considering it featured a giant monster, and who doesnt love giant monsters?
Better then last year, but still mediocre. Too much kinect for my taste, and as excited as I was for Halo 4, I find it a bit dissapointing that Microsoft feels the need to bring back Halo instead of starting a new IP.

You see, people act like their 360 can't play anything but exclusives and Kinect games and foam at the mouth because of that.
Gears 3 and Tomb Raider look awesome. Assassin's Creed Revelations, RE: Raccoon City, Mass Effect 3, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Battlefield 3, COD: MW3, Halo Anniverary, and many others I'm forgetting look very good. This isn't Nintendo giving us a bunch of casual-focused games and 1 maybe 2 core 1st party titles and no third party support fellas.
Actually last years Microsoft Conference is why I bought my first 360 (The 360 Slim). I felt that last years E3 was far better & didn't rely on Kinect as much. Disneyland...REALLY? REALLY?!!!!!Better then last year, but still mediocre. Too much kinect for my taste, and as excited as I was for Halo 4, I find it a bit dissapointing that Microsoft feels the need to bring back Halo instead of starting a new IP.

Ithought it was pretty good not much for the hardcore gamer but pretty good. not sure if microsoft knows what direction it wants to go in now with all this kinect stuff so really what crowd was E3 for?
Very lame.Third and fourth installments of games with nothing new.Goes to show they are hard up for exclusives. As for Kinect...wow...most of the show was little kids games and the majority that they did show were all choreographed and not people actually playing them live IMO.
What are the chances she would sink a long put without even lining it up,and for it to roll around the rim and drop was a scam. The guy in the Star Wars demo was fake as.He was holding back waiting for the screen to catch up.:|
It did have some impressive features but it looks like MS is concentrating on Kinect to pull it through until the next box is released, definitely not worried much about all their long term supporters, they have pretty much dropped the ball.
It was more like the Kinect-ed Conference.
Worst E3 conference since Nintendo 2009.
HaloPimp978
So true.
[QUOTE="chaosflare44"]Actually last years Microsoft Conference is why I bought my first 360 (The 360 Slim). I felt that last years E3 was far better & didn't rely on Kinect as much. Disneyland...REALLY? REALLY?!!!!! To each his own. I personally found last year's conference a snorefest. They just showed gameplay for CoD: Black Ops + GoW3 and the rest was a bunch of kinect ripoffs of wii games and the xbox slim. This year they at least catered a little more to the hardcore audience with MW3, GoW3, ME3, Ghost Recon, and both Halos. Though yeah, I don't know why they bothered showing Disney land and Sesame Street...Better then last year, but still mediocre. Too much kinect for my taste, and as excited as I was for Halo 4, I find it a bit dissapointing that Microsoft feels the need to bring back Halo instead of starting a new IP.

I thought it was lame as well. nothing just really wowed me. Both halos were known about before the conference (thx to a leak before the show in the case of halo 4), and even then the Halo 4 trailer had a very Dead Space feel. gears 3 has been circulating for far too long imo to generate any substantial hype. I've never been a fan of fable, and this new spin-off (i think) looked horrible to me. Forza was cool, but im not a racing fan.
Tomb Raider looked excellent, but my hype was lessened a little because of the huge Uncharted vibe i got. don't get me wrong. it was still awesome, but it felt more uncharted than tomb raider. Still, probably the highlight of the show for me (even though Lara's groans were getting annoying)
I've lost all faith in Star Wars Kinect. The kinect features on display for that game (and the whole show in general) were very off, and there was a considerable amount of time between the players actions and the on-screen actions. it also just looked boring as hell.
Most of the other Kinect stuff I've pretty much experienced with my Wii, so I've seen it all and done it all. nothing stood out, and it was very lackluster.
Things I did like were the MW3 demo, even though its more of the same. The voice commands for ME3 were really cool, as well as the gun smith from Ghost recon, but they never felt like true gameplay advances, and felt more like shiny alternatives to my controller.
As far as Live goes, they are once again very nice features, but I already have cable and all that. once again, it just felt like another option, and not something i just had to have.
I'd give the conference a C. very mediocre in my opinion, with a few highlights, yet nothing whatsoever that stood out as amazing.
Wow, when i first saw Kinect i said, there MUST be a Star Wars game, and you can use a lightsaber. Well gratz o Microsoft, they TOTALLY F**KED that up, why mus teverythign be so cartoony? everything?!
Too much kinect stuff, They should have just showed a trailer of all the games that are coming out this year for the kinect and showed more games that we dont know about. I'm also mad cause I thought skyrim was going to be demoed:x. But I'm glad that halo is remake and not just a crap hd version of the game with nothing new. Also where are the xbox live arcade games that are coming out this summer?
