Soul Calibur IV is...

Im looking foward to this one, I'll be playing it on my 18th birthday (18th Aug). The only SC I have played before is the third game on PS2 and it was alot of fun. kunggustaf

lol i cant wait till it arrives but because i live in the UK i have to wait till august 1st which is annoying the hell out of me because everyone is playing it and i agree its nice to be playing something different for once i have spent 15 days on COD4 but im bored playing the same maps etc.

I just bought it an hour or so ago. Bought the collectors edition. The game is the best ever of the series in my view. Though I already threw Yoda off the ring by mistake by jumping around lol. (Oh, and for those who doubt that I got it, simply view my achievements lol)theunloved

Yoda's the best character and i'd give it a 9.5

ive played SC2 and SC3 and i enjoyed both of them (but i preferred SC2 because nightmare didnt look like a unicorn). therefore i was wondering is this one alot lik ethe other 2 or is it completely diffrent?jezz555

It is a pretty awesome game, much better than SCIII was. Also, while Yoda is a horribly unbalanced character, he still damn fun to play with. My favorite character so far is Hilde. Master_Hermes

I bought the game yesterday and I do enjoy it, but the big problem I have is that the story mode on Normal is way too easy and way too short (5 rounds). I haven't tried it on hard yet so hopefully it is longer and more challenging. The arcade mode I breezed through until I go to the apprentice. It actually got beat out for Game of the Month in EGM by NCAA Football 09.

I didn't play either game but I'm sure SCIV is 20 times better.

I'm not looking for squealing "OMGOMGOMG SCIV IS THE BEST EVAR" fanboy stuff (not that I figure I'll get it; I just don't use these forums much) because I'm not expecting that. But is it something I could really pick up fairly well to get into the fighting genre?
