I got mine on Launch I really wanted to play Perfect Dark Zero.. I wasn't dissapointed i enjoyed it.

A few things:

(a) I wanted to play Oblivion laying down (i.e. not sitting in front of PC for 100hrs).
(b) PS3 was $600, delayed and didn't have Oblivion at the time.
(c) Upon further inspection, I found out games where you bash up zombies were coming out for this system, and after the disappointment of the Land of the Dead game I needed a good zombie game as a pick-me-up.

i remember waaaaay back when mtv had that special on the xbox 360, i remember seeing a small clip of gears and i got hooked, i also wanted to get into xbox live

Many people believe GOW = Gods of War since it came out first and GeOW = Gears of War.

Online play. I dont even care what games come out for what console anymore, I just want to play with other people. You know how boring it is without any real life friends to play video games with? My PS2 is almost dead because of that fact.

Dont have it yet-but getting my new 360 very soon-what pushed me to get one again was playing teh Blue Dragon demo at a friend's house....I loved it...to death...right now ive got half the money saved up (im saving up for an Elite)

the first xbox

I climbed the gaming ladder I guess... I started with the NES, then I won a sega genisis in a contest... played ps1 at a friends house a lot, and wanted one but couldn't afford it. Then I found a used N64 for $100 with super mario 64 included, and two controllers. I bought it. years later, I heard about the microsoft xbox. When it came out I bought it. next big thing was xbox live, when that came out I got an account. I had to buy it at the store and install it on the 360 with a disc, hah. I had a lot of fun playing "Whacked!" with friends, even though it was the worst game I've ever played. a lot of good memories with games like mechassault and jedi knight acadamy on xbl. I got into PC gaming later though, I'd play halo 2 online and take a break to play medal of honor allied assault with some relitives. i drifted to the PC eventually. my friend got a 360, and told me how great it was and that I had to get it. I had forgotten about consoles..after my experience with the xbox though, I went for it when there was a christmas sale. now here i am today 100% console gamer... story of my gaming life sry got carried away

well, i used to own an Xbox, then i started getting more into gaming web sitesand all that, and then i saw the xbox 360 and started a research, i really liked gfxs, and some of the games that caught my attention were...

N3, Chromehounds, HALO 3 of course, Gears, GRAW 1, Oblivion...COD2, PDZ....etc...

but now i know that my only reason is, and will be Halo 3...this games stops me from getting a PS3 lolz

Well, I can't clearly remember the reason why I bought my 360 but I was urging to buy one somewhere in the start of this year. I think I bought it because i've been playing World of Warcraft for half my life and was craving for a new console with next-gen graphics or I bought it for the same reason and because of G.R.A.W, like I said I can't remember clearly the main reason what pushed me to by my 360 and later on I eventually traded in G.R.A.W due to the fact it has a really poor multiplayer for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Las Vegas which at that time had a trade in deal I think, trading in G.R.A.W was only $10 off which I find the trade-in system unfair. They even sell my game back on the shelves for like $55 AUD dollars with preowned stamped on it, not cool.

Also I think there is another reason that pushed me to get my 360 possibly because of browsing too many 360 games that have can't-be resisted next-gen graphics.

Before I got my 360I played World of Warcraft and the graphics was not sonext-gen, more like a improved 3D version or something.

There are games for PC that have next-gen graphics but I just can't afford to upgrade my pc's accessories due to the fact that im not rich and im cheap. One piece of equipment like a 3.5 Ghz would cost just about enough to flush out my savings so I would be stuck half way as I would need to upgrade my motherboard, ram and all those equipment, basically I need to buy a new tower which will propably cost a thousand or so.

As of this week I had to send my console out to microsoft for repairs because of the three red lights problem which I really hate, I hope it comes back without any problems from microsoft in a few weeks.

I want a Elite! I hate how they don't come in huge amount of stocks like the original consoles and with or without a trade in deal so. They should remove all original consoles and place it with Elites with it costing cheaper :)

when they had that confernece were they first revealed the 360 on MTV and the trailer showed u a glipse of games and the two that caught my eye were nba 2k6 and need for speed most wanted and then a t e3 were they showed gears of war for the first time i was like WOW

My oldbox died on me 13 days before launch of the 360. Since I was hooked to online gaming I went and camped out in front of a target and got one of the only six premiums they had.

Wow, all these are interesting. Halo 3 will most likely push a lot more systems this fall. The 360 has the biggest line up coming this fall filled with diverse games, such as for shooters -Halo 3 (of course), Bio Shock, COD4, Action - Assassin's Creed, GTA4, Naruto, RPG's - Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Sports - Madden, racing - PGR4, and plesty of others like Rock Band, GH3, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, Beautiful Katamari, Stronghold to name a few. It's going to feel great being a 360 owner or future owner this fall.

At first I was going to wait until Halo 3 or Assasin's Creed came out (whichever came first) for me to buy a 360. But after seeing screenshots and gameplay footage of GOW back when it came out I decided to forgo the wait and get one then and there.
