What Should the Next Xbox Do

i dont think it needs blu ray tbh, its not all that its hyped up to be i rekkon, plus theyre too expensive. but theink the bigger hd is a definate yes, and backwards compatibility would be great.

I think the next xbox whould NOT come out any time soon, It would be a waste, I mean the 360 is doing great, I mean such a great improvement, but not for another few years

NO Blue-Ray...so not necessary.

Non-proprietary HD. Make it so you can slap any old HD in there.

Built in Wireless. Why that wasn't included in the 360 is beyond me.

I wouldn't mind being able to store pics, music and vids onto your hard drive easily. It would be a nice bonus.

A new slimmer look? I just like slimmer stuff for some reason.

Improve the msn interface. I don't rly like seeing both my freinds on live and msn on the same list.

Not rly too much 360 is a perfect system to me. And oh yeah no more @$%#% service and hardware nexttime.

I want the next Xbox to be fully backwards compatible with Xbox and Xbox 360 games, and fully backwards compatible with all Xbox 360 accesories (Hard-Drives, Wireless Adapters, Controlers ect.)- This would also save Microsoft some money, sure the prices on current accesories wouldn't go down (which is bad for us) but Microsoft wouldn't have to worry about redesigning and producing more accesories for the system, so they could just focus on the system. I would also like to see a Blu-Ray player as well.DarkGamer007

i agree with everything you said, but slightly less agree on the blu-ray player. i think microsoft don't have to rely on blu-ray, but we'll have to see about that in the future. they could make the xbox 360 function like the pc, where games are installed on the hard drive. they just have to make sure that they include a big hard drive.

• And most importantly, free online

The graphics are fine as they are as far as I'm concerned.

This is essentially impossible. Adding Blu Ray alone will nix your "cheaper" clause. Unfortunately for us, we are going to probably pay upwards of PS3 price for the next XBox.

Also, to those of you who suggest a "slimmer" or "less bulky" design...that is what got us into RROD trouble in the first place. Heat dissipation issues that would be easier to control if the thing was the size of a normal PC tower.

I want one game to work 4 all systems, just your preference if you want a sony, microsoft, or nintendo system. The developers would love it. Different cd's dont play on different cd players, they work on them all.

You're right. Microsoft should just release the old Xbox and give it a new name. :roll: If this gen's consoles have shown anything, it's that consoles inevitably get more and more expensive. The PS3 was nearly £500 when it came out, and the 360 was around £300ish. Some of the most expensive consoles released really.

The console should keep up the good graphics. It should be smaller. It should be quieter. It should be better than the 360 essentially.

why is the ps3 losing exclusive titles? because Sony was unable to sell Xs amount of ps3s. why was sony unable to that? because sony made a mistake by adding to much crap into the launch ps3. when did ps3 start picking up the pace? when sony strip the ps3 most of it features and made it affordable.

and free xbox live has nothing to do with the xbox and is still a bad idea, i really fail to see how people dont realise that nothing is free and that if you dont want to pay for xbox live im sure the PS would be more to your liking. Id rather have the online experience i do now paying for it, then a sub-par one for free

Before i get a hundred stupid comments 'PSN is free' i guarantee u its not, whether they pass on the costs through higher console, game or accessorie prices it still costs the consumer money, successful businesses do not provide such extensive services for free

I want apple to make a game system, So they can own microsoft just like the Ipod owns the Zune. No but seriously apple makes better products and doesn't nickel and dime you like microsoft. If that's not gunna happen then for the new xbox i would want. Pc graphics, the xbox and ps3 have great graphics but PC is better why should people with consoles settle for less? I don't know if that means blu-ray or not (ps3 is using blu-ray and the graphics aren't any better than xbox). 100% BC games. Compatible controllers (probably unrealistic, but it would be so convienent, i love the 360 controller design). Not so loud, the thing sounds like it's about to blow up. Obviously better reliability, i have an N64 from 1998 that still works great, and a console from 2008 that has broken twice in a one month span. Come on microsoft take some time and make a good system (stop caring just about money and more about your customers). Also it should have a built in wireless adapter, once again microsoft has to squeeze every penny out of me, because i can't connect to the internet using wires. $100 for a wireless adapter that gives me the crappiest service ever. No lag and free or cheeper live. (why is sony offering it's online play for free?) Those are just a few things, but there's definitely a lot more. Many of those things don't even seem that unreasonable. Like i said microsoft is so worried about getting as much money as possible they need to be spending more time making quality products and satisfying their customers.Gsmith92
