Why is Halo 3 so bad now?

Halo3 online doesn't take me more than 3 minutes to get into a game.

why cant we live in a world were the cod4 fans just stop hating on halo. i never seen a halo fan in here ever post a topic saying cod4 sucks, thats because its a good game, both are. halo fans accept that so why cant you cod4 fans accept that tooj-killer-316

Ummm.... I didn't particularly like COD4's multiplayer, but there is no denying that the campaign was one of the best in any military shooter ever......and if you think Halo 3 had a great single player campaign my guess is that you are either 12 or prefer mindless blasting to a story that you can get into. The 1st Halo had a good single player story, but it stopped after that.

Because better games came out after halo 3

i used to be a huge big fan of halo 1, 2 , and 3

had them all played them all beat them all

i just hate how you have to go and find weapons scattered all around in a map.

and it basically is rock paper scissors game IMO

Both of these games are the most played on xbox live (besides Gears Of War). I think everyone should enjoy both games

How can you say that COD4 campaign was dull? I've played COD4 for like 6 months now as my online game. But now the achievements have come out and I was like great I can go back to Halo! But its pretty awful, I used to love it but this is terrible. I first noticed how it takes like 10 minutes to find a game and when you do, the search just restarts. I've probably played Halo in the past week for about 8 hours and I've probaly played around 12 games. I've been sitting here for literally 30 minutes waiting for a game. And why does your stupid NAT type have to be open? Every other games online functions better than Halo and my NAT is moderate for all those. Also when you do finally get into a game it's blurry and people quit and glitch and it lags extremely bad and your teamates kill you. I can't believe I played over 1000 games in the first couple months after it came out. Anyways I just wanted to ask if its any better when your NAT type is open? I've tried to change it but I don't know the password for my router controls.Conroi58

Well buddy i am a fifty in dubs, team slayer, team swat and a 49 in MLG. I got those in like a week. When i play halo i usually dont play matchmaking because it it so boring so i run some fours in customs and play some GB (well use too i dont have a team anymore) I bet you are garbage Cornei(i think thats ur forum name) and i have seen a lot of lag on Halo 3 i admit but not in customs and Halo take SOOOOOO much more skill then in COD4 because if you are any good AT ALL in cod4 if you see someone first you win unless you are completely awfull which most people are not as in Halo people dont die in one hit you need accuracy and strategy and (something cod doesnt have) TEAMWORK!

I can't stand it when people give their opinions about a particular FPS and also state that they don't even appreciate that genre. Its like saying, "I can't stand RPGs. Final Fantasy X is an awful game!" Its just kinda lame.

Unfortunately the game blows now and is outdated. I have a open nat type and it takes me 10 minutes to get into a game, people quit, well, pretty much everything you said. The 360 has quite a few shooters, but not very many good online shooters. The last good one was cod4, but I'm getting a little bit sick of that too.

IMO, both games are only "good" at best. They are the only two games I own right now and I still play them because replay-value is high. COD gets annoying dodging grenades as if its a game of dodge ball while watching the kill cam shows me doing something I dont recall doing, like standing there looking at the opponent with rifle in hand NOT shooting!! Some perks ruin the gameplay. Also Headquarters becomes a team slayer match most of the time.

Halo 3's framerate sucks and compared to Halo 2, competition play is more luck then anything. Bungie themselves confirmed that the 3rd round of the 3 shot burst in the Battle Rifle is random, making a 4 shot kill more luck rather than skill. That one lucky strike can destroy your teams map control/setup. How about dual wielding beng completely destroyed by the distant lunge melee attack that takes all shield down.

If you played both there is no way you dont see this stuff.

It's not bad, it's still fun getting together with friends and playing some team battle.

It's old, the game is essentially the same it's been for 7 years.

Don't get me wrong, I like Call of Duty but a human being cannot survive a .50 cal sniper round. If a person gets shot in the torso there is a good chance that it could cut them in half and it removes arms and legs with ease. A .50 cal round can penetrate tank armor for goodness sakes! And I see people survive .50 cal rounds in COD all the time.

In 2001, many Gamecube fans (for example) couldn't help but go to Xbox forums and give Xbox fans a piece of their mind, about how their console is a failure. PS2 fans (likewise) did similar things about how Xbox is a PC. likewise, nintendo was attacked as being targetted at 8 yr olds. For a while, Gamespot allowed it, as they stated it was only "voicing an opinion." Now that there is a "console wars forum," its obvious that this got out of hand.

Now there is Halo 3 vs Call of Duty 4 Can Call of Duty 4 fans simply stay in COD4 topics? No, whenever Halo3 is mentioned... they see the need to attack it. Almost any topic with the words "Halo 3" is an immediate flamewar. Reminds me alot of the days when any topic mentioning "Xbox" would be a flamewar. While it shouldn't matter because it is a bunch of nerds hiding behind computers, these posts show up on google... which adds to the flamewar that keeps going. The only thing I find more ridiculous than the Halo 3 vs Call of Duty 4 is the Xbox360 vs PS3 arguments. Those consoles are so ridiculously similar, that its a perfect example of how stupid these flamewars are. It'd make more sense for PS3 and 360 owners to team up against Nintendo, but whatever. News such as "Tenchu Z 2" or "Rumble Roses 3" is ignored by those who hate the series, but news of "Bruce Lee likes Halo 3" results in a flamewar.
