Will anyone NOT be buying LA Noire?

It's been suggested here that LA Noire will change video games forever. Is anyone NOT buying this game? If not, why? Also, has anyone heard about LA Noire's Multiplayer? I haven't heard anything about it. Or is it singleplayer only? I know the graphics aren't that great, but it's sporting new tech which probably eats up a ton of CPU cycles. I'm curious to know if people are generally excited for this game.

Oh really? Only 17 hours? Where did you hear that?? I would assume that it would at least be as long as GTA4, about 40 hours long.

I wanted it, but I'm broke at the moment, and I have other expenses. I'll get it a month or two later.

Lots of cutscenes.

I'll be borrowing it from a friend. I can't see much replayability so I can't justify the $60 price for it. If I do buy it it'll be way down the line when it's cheap.

Cecause there is no MP i will buy it after i read all the reviews and decide on which platform to get it.

i'll wait for the reviews and possibly rent it. but I RARELY buy games day 1.

Are you sure there is no multiplayer? I find it weird that Red Dead Redemption would have one, yet this game won't. **SHIFTYEYES**

I dont think I could care less about this game, so no.

I'm poor so I'm not buying stuff I don't need(unless I really really want it :P) atm, not multiplayer is a put off for purchase definately

The only reason im not buying this game is because I dont have the money, but it looks sweet. I loved Heavy Rain so this seems like a step up from that.

I may rent it down the road if the word of mouth stays good, but I'm just expecting Grand Theft Detective and that does nothing for me.

I already got a few games in mind, so I'm not going get the game when it comes out. I'll wait till Christmas.

You can't know how long it's going to be. If you're really interested in it then get it for that reason alone. Don't worry about exactly how many hours it will take YOU to finish the game.

I'm not getting it because i don't like adventure games.

i will probably pick it up in a few months once the price drops, it interests me, but not enough to be a day 1 buy

I will never buy it, never play it, and hopefully never be near a physical copy.

Rockstar has perfected the art of making games with excellent SP and engaging MP. I think it is a step backwards for them to not include MP, especially since it has been a year since RDR came out, a new MP game would be great right now. I'm sure they will release a great DLC title for this game down the line, and hopefully it can be played by itself, or those who rent this game will be disappointed. I won't buy this until there is a price drop, not that excited to me. Jurassic85

There is almost zero chance I will ever buy L.A. Noire. It seems like once the main story mode ends I'll just stop playing it forever & never, ever want to play it again. In video games, what usually keeps me coming back for more is some sort of additional single player mode, like Modern Warfare 2's Special Ops mode. If L.A. Noire has nothing like Spec Ops mode, or some sort of equivalent, than I don't see any replay value in it & I have a rule that I absolutely never buy a game if there is going to be no replay value. I'll definitely be renting L.A. Noire, though.

It's funny because I'm yearning for a good single player campaign, yet I have no desire to play L.A. Noire. Having played Red Dead Redemption and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood from last year, both massive open-world games and very good in their own right, I'm kind of worn out on grande adventures in an open-world setting. I sometimes lose focus and often force myself to try and finish the game. That, and I'm holding out for Skyrim.
