wow... Halo 3 campaign graphics don't look so impressive...

dude its halo, of course its going to get hyped to hell. im not a big graphics person though, im care more about the gameplay and story, i wanna see how this game ends. either way the hype train is gonna continue and the game is gonna sale millions regardless of your expectations.

Some people are impossible to please. "There good but not great...I hope they get better." Please. And that "Halo fanboy much?" comment was completely unneccesary. Just because someone thinks the graphics looks great doesn't mean they're a fanboy. I honestly don't know why people have such high standards for Halo 3's graphics because the Halo series has not been known for jaw-dropping graphics. Just because Halo 3 isn't living up to that bar that Gears of War set people come on here complain about how "bad and un-impressed they are with the graphics". But you know what, once the game comes out and you're off and playing you're not going to think about the graphics much at all, maybe when you first play the game and look around but after that you'll be playing the game because of what it is, a great game. So please, enough with the graphics.

See thats the thing, you're expecting too much from Bungie. I said it earlier in this topic and I'll say it again, the Halo series has not been known for jaw-dropping graphics. Halo 2 was an improvement over Halo 1 but it still had a few ugly things about it and it didn't really shine. Halo shines because of its gameplay and story and it will certainly deliver that.

Everything in the trailer looked great besides the ground textures but oh well. I wasn't impressed at all with the earlier screens Bungie released for SP, but the new trailer turned that around. It looks good but there are better looking games out there.

Go to bungie.net and go to the screen shot gallery, look at the very first picture "through the eyes of a chief." That picture owns any game I've ever seen as far as details go. Everything is just so crisp and vivid it's mind blowing. I crapped my pants when i saw that picture. In my opinion, that looks better than Cod 4 or Gears of War.PowerFiend

Your out of your mind, I have no problems with you Halo fanboys getting excited about Halo 3, but Crysis DESTROYS it in every possible way graphically.

The textrues are vastly superior in Crysis, the effects like the realistic way the light shines through the leaves is far better, the lighting all around is far far better, the polygon count is a least 5x what you see in Halo 3 and the PHYSICS well compared to crysis Halo 3 really doesn't even have physics!

You can't knock down any trees let alone get a response when moving through a brush or anything like that or running over a building with a tank and what not. Then there's the draw distance which Crysis does better then any game ever, or what about the realistic bluring effects and how it gives a subtle but real looking blur to the distance, or how about the game real time weather effects and volumetric clouds? Did you see the storm in the alien fight on the carrier video?! Or how about the tornados that are going to be in the game.

In every concievable way Crysis is miles beyond Halo 3, the gap is so big I dare say theres as big as a difference graphically between Halo 3 and Crysis as there is Halo 2 and Gears of War. Quite simply Crysis is a whole Generation ahead of Halo 3 graphically.

Halo3's visuals are very shiny, but that adds in the Halo1-ish feel to it.

And a person said that Halo3 will run a 60 FPS. I hardly doubt that. All Halo games run at 30 FPS or lower.

I thought they looked damn great i was happy with them beisdes the game runs at 60fps per second so will be nice and smooth as to play, also i was only watching it on the crappy little vga resoloution feed in hi def on my big hd tv im looking foward to some ncie crisp visuals with fast paced gameplay YAY for Haloxonix6

The game will not run at 60 FPS. It's Halo, it will always be at 30 FPS.

Damn why does it run in 60fps???? this is just an xbox not a high end pc!!! we cant have good looking games running at that frame rate at 720p, so much for halo 3 looking as good as the e3 trailer last year...
