It's gotta be Gears of War, both 1 and 2, during the campaigns.
There's nothing like being in the zone and taking muthers out left and right and screaming "yeahhhhh b!!!!tch you want some of this?!!".
It's like a NOS shot of adrenaline.. I'm sure you know what I mean. 8)
my zen is from half life 2 episode 2
after you encounter the first combine advisor in the barn and escape its clutches. Next thing you know youjump into your car (69 dodge charger) and get the hell out of there.Techno music is going, girl at your side in the car, and a helicopter chasing you... by far my favorite zen. Half life series has more of these zens than any other game ive played...
Mine was after getting my ass kicked in Ninja Gaiden II by these huge werewolves for over an hour, I thought I tried everything. I then found a weapon and a couple of combo's that worked really good against them. Ended up beating the rest of the level without dieing to them and they all were **** up, no legs arms, heads. Yeah that's my moment in Zen Whooping Werewolves **** asses and leaving them missing body parts.
in halo 3... the ending and the level before the food appearsalfredooo
my zen moment was finding out that there is food in halo 3. lol
In Gears 1, on the tyro station level.
Once i was running away from all of the other team and I ran across the tracks and all of the other team was still on it and one of them started lagging. All of them froze up and couldn't move and the train hit all of them.
This gen has provided too many to count! Here are a few.
SPOLIERS
1) Beating RAAM in Gears 1/chainsawing a friend for the first time.
2) Walking on the moon in Mass Effect.
3) Shooting the spartain laser at an oncoming Ghost inches before I was splattered (Halo 3, obviously).
4) The last level of Halo 3 (so reminiscent of Halo 1).
5) Pretty much any moment in Fallout 3.
mine would have to be bioshock.
when it was revealed in the story that all my actions into the game had not been an act of free will "would you kindly...".
no other game i've played has ever blurred that line between making my desire to play part of the actual story. it drew me in completely.
Thats hard to say I've had it a lot of times. Although probably the most recent will have to be when I was playing CoD: WaW online, when I was just in the zone doing everything perfect.
You know when your getting headshots left and right without even taking a second to smell the burning corpses of the enemies. In other words I feel like Rambo just killing everyone in sight without even getting a scratch.
Thats pretty much it, and I'm pretty sure everyones had this kind of moment :D.
Opening scene of Prey, where the jukebox suddenly plays 'Don't fear the reaper' as the alien ship starts beaming **** up. Awesome.
Also,
I was tracking down diamonds in Far Cry 2, and I finally figured out that I had to hang glide off a cliff to get down to an otherwise unreachable ledge on the other side of a waterfall, and I was all "How the **** did a briefcase get over here, lol"
