What Gamespot Users have to say about Drakensang: The Dark Eye

Solid RPG, based in a popular pen&paper game in a full of lore world. Worth your time.
The Dark Eye setting is not new in the PC games, the older would remember the Realms of Arkania series. The new game from Radon Labs is called Drakensang and comes from Germany. The good about been a pen&paper based game... Read Full Review

Drakensang is a fascinating RPG with inspiring gameplay, smooth graphics, and good stability.
As an old-school computer RPG fan, I wonder the reason why Drakensang is not highly positive reviewed. This is the best single player RPG I have played in recent 3 years. The game mechanic works well. The Dark Eye TRP... Read Full Review

Probably the Best RPG I have ever played. I have played all the Never Winter Series and this ROCKED. GREAT STORYLINE.
At first the game was a little slow. It took a while to get used to the Interface, because I have been playing the Neverwinter Nights & 2 series for a while. Once you get rolling with this game you wont be disappointe... Read Full Review

At long last: a RPG that doesn't crash. Any serious RPG fan will label this game a must-have.
You've got to love a program that doesn't crash your PC. Drakensang runs superbly on XP SP3. **Note** Ensure your DirectSound (part of DX 9.0c) is up-to-date, otherwise Drakensang will not boot. The solution is to instal... Read Full Review

I wish there was more details on how the RPG engine worked, but aside from that it is a solid game.
My biggest complaint is in the fine details. I wish the manual spent more effort on how the game mechanics worked. You will figure this out as you play, but I think the early tutorial area would go better if you knew b... Read Full Review

Excellent game with some flaws
The graphics and sound were very nice; the story was interesting, with many interesting side quests telling a story of their own. The game ran fairly well on my 4-1/2 yr old computer, with only one run-time glitch invol... Read Full Review

Drakensang provides a truly rewarding, fantastic gamer experience through and through, an RPG Keeper!
Being a hopeless gamer who sincerly enjoys most all games on all systems, I loath what many once great game franchises have become, dumbed down and boring. The trend of riding the wave of Wii and DS success, seems to ... Read Full Review

Cant customize characters faces. Otherwise, great game!!! I give it a 9 out of 10
This game is almost perfect. I just wish I was able to customize my character as being fat, skinny, muscular, and also face customization would have been real nice too. All the characters have static appearances. A way t... Read Full Review

Though it's interface is somewhat awkward, background storyline and quests are very good.
I'm sorry that this good game should be hampered by some technical problems. It's interface is somewhat inconvenient and camera view is not very intuitive. Some voice dubbing has nearly no feeling, only just a flat tone ... Read Full Review
