What Gamespot Users have to say about Drakensang: The Dark Eye

Satisfyingly old-school RPG based an interesting non-D&D ruleset.
Must admit that had never heard of The Dark Eye pen-and-paper RPG before I got this. However after playing its digital incarnation, Drakensang, I certainly feel it's a nice improvement over the multitude of D&D-based CRP... Read Full Review

While not necessarily innovative, Drakensang is a highly immersive and enjoyable rpg.
Good third person rpg's are difficult to find. Sure there are a lot that will entertain you for a few hours, but more often than not the game will begin to repeat itself and lose its appeal. Because of this I was all t... Read Full Review

The D&D equivalent from Germany weighs in with a good looking presentation, but lacks substance in several areas.
Having been a fan of PnP DnD since the late 70's, and a gaming enthusiast when it comes to RPG games on the PC, I of course couldn't pass up the chance to fire up Drakensang when the english version was available. At ... Read Full Review

Das Schwarze Auge! For traditional RPG addicts, even this strange German ruleset/interp delivers, despite quirks
First, the pros: -Surprisingly good voice acting for a subpar story, a subpar script, translated from German, no less (perhaps the German is a tad better, and lost in translation). -[Usually] good graphics, atmospheric... Read Full Review
