Fair and decent remake of the original amazing 2D Sonic games despite some flaws.
This game is definitely decent and worth the 15000 points in WiiWare. I really enjoyed it, even though I expect much more from the upcoming episodes. Advantages: 1) Old and new enemies, nice graphics, cool stages wi... Read Full Review

Ok why can't Sega do this?
To start: Here is the video. You be the judge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEd6s5S4hJI This is my thought: I myself am a classic to the Sonic franchises. I grew up with Sonic 1,2,3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic C... Read Full Review

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 offers fast paced platforming, but is too short and easy.
It has been a rough decade for Sonic fans. They had to deal with a glut of mediocre to downright bad games due to bad writing, broken controls, bad camera, a pointless gimmick, or the latter. While Sonic and the Secret R... Read Full Review

It's Faithful, Nostalgic, though a bit short. Sonic 4 is superb, and was well worth the 1200 microsoft points.
Sonic 1, 2, 3, Knuckles, Adventure, Adventure 2, Heroes, Shadow, Sonic 06, Unleashed. And now... Sonic 4. PROS: Spectacular Levels that will just throw you back from the older games. Super-Nostalgic. Faithful to the o... Read Full Review

I think I'm feeling it again....that feeling of sweet nostalgia I've been missing from Sonic...
Now before I say anything, the only 3D Sonic game I truly hated was the Sonic '06 for Xbox 360...the others weren't as bad as others made them out to be, if you're a real Sonic fan you shouldn't be so anal about stuff li... Read Full Review

When i heard the news about Sonic 4 earlier this year, I'll admit, I had my doubts. I mean, how could Sega possibly produce a good Sonic game that's reminiscent of the older games while still retaining its solid controls... Read Full Review

A great throwback to the Sonic games of old. Tons of fun! (The most important thing for a video game) But far too short.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is a great addition to any Sonic or old-school game fan's collection. It's a game that's a ton of fun to play and quite pretty to look at once you slow down enough to notice. Sonic the... Read Full Review
