I saw Gary Sinise!!!

Hello all, I know it's been a couple years since I last wrote on this blog. But I thought I would let all of those who DO remember me that I still watch our beloved television shows. Right now, it's just CSI:NY and Criminal Minds. Sorry to see Miami get canceled, but glad to see Vegas get back on its feet a bit. Sad to see Marg go. Anyway,... so yes like the title says, I got to see someone very special. A celebrity near and dear to my heart --- GARY SINISE!!! He and his band, the Lt. Dan Band, came to the fort located in the city where I live to perform a free concert for the vets and military. It was a blast and my family and I got pretty close to the stage. He is a goofball when he performs. They played oldies, they played some current hit pop sings, it was amazing. Unfortunately, weather was not on our side. Like 10 minutes before the show was suppose to start, 30 mph winds picked up, lightening struck right next to us, and we had to evacuate, and they said the concert was cancelled or delayed. We waited it out and came back. After another hour of waiting, we got to see him. It was such a treat. You could tell just from the audience that he is such a humble man who loves what he does. He got the all kids up on stage at one point as they sang "Life is a HIghway", and was playing his base with and around them. He would kneel down to the ground with little kids and make surprised happy faces at them. He and his lead singer even knelt down to play and sing next to a little girl in a wheelchair. He shared the stage like a pro. Unfortunately, again, the lightening returned, and they had to cut it short. So no "Teenage Wasteland" but the did end the night with "I'm Proud to Be an America." If you find out that he and his band are offering a free concert somewhere near you, GO. ****Pictures coming soon!!!!****

College bound!

I got into college my peoples. My life has slowed down which is why I can actually write on this thing. My hopes are to major in theatre/ minor in apparel design. Who knows, I may work on a crime drama show one day in the costume department or special affects make-up. I love that stuff. Thought I'd give you guys an update! Fall semester 2010! Whoot! Ciao!

I hath Returned!!!

Hola my peoples! My life is still 90 miles and hour but my mornings are free. My life is so busy and crammed that the only thing that calms me back down is CSI so I definitely want to get back in that mode. I've missed you all sooooooo much this summer. I was amazed that I survived. I'm a senior now! Agh! When did that happen?! I don't know either. Can't wait to be back on the threads chatting with you guys again! Jules

Guess what!!!!!

I'm a licensed driver now! Whoop! A licensed driver who doesn't have a car! Yeah!!!... yeah, that part kind of sucks I know. My dad is taking his sweet time picking out his car so I'm stuck still calling mom or asking friends for rides. Seriously. What is the point of getting the license, if you think you and your mother can share the car when both of you will be in separate parts of the town all the day, all week. Not to mention, ballroom goes til 11 and the parents want to be asleep by then. So yeah, it doesn't help. But then again, I just got it this morning.:P Anyway. Yay!!!!! Talk to ya'll later!!!!

I've got ninja skills!

... of many kinds. :) Remember during my last blog how I described my blissful totally unexpected private salsa lesson with one of the pros at the place I am taking ballroom lessons? Well, I finally found some videos of him and his wife dancing. I knew they were on youtube somewhere, I just didn't know where. The first two is what I expected to see form them. Argentine Tango and a waltzy tango. Footwork and flirting. They are so cute! The last was a total treat for me. I completely forgot how fun they are too. Dancing together I mean. They are totally fun loving people. I just forgot how it was when they partnered.:P Just watch and see.;) Gallo Ciego Desde El Alma and of course Cha Cha! The person who commented on this video had me nearly rolling o the floor. I was like "Yeah, I get to dance with him every week;)." I'll see you guys around. My life has been taken over by random things including ballroom. It had abducted my life and shows no sign of surrender. But I'm okay with that. I have voiced my concerns, worries, and guesses to numerous people. As much as I want the cliffhangers resolved, I am not looking forward to September right. I took forever for school to end. I don't want it up and running again if you know what I mean. Besides, I'm going to be a senior in the fall so it will be different anyway. I'll check in on you guys, especially when the spoilers come piling in.:P You just won't see me as frequently. I have ballet for five hours a day, then work and if I'm not working that night I'll be at ballroom. So summer is kinda busy. Will have my final vacation before vacation even starts.:P Summer is busier than school I think. Love you guys! Jules/ Vave

Just sayin' Hi!

Hi peoples. Just got back fro getting contacts for the first time. Not too bad except that it felt like the doctor putting them in was trying to rip my eye lids apart. Nice visionary isn't it.:P Okay, so my friends have gotten me hooked on ballroom dancing lately. I mean, I am hooked! Like CSI crazed hooked. Yeah. It's that bad. So, there's this thing called 'Every Friday Night Dance' that we go to at a Ballroom dance place. It's where we have a half hour lesson and then for the next 2 1/2 hours we just all dance and have fun. There are about four professionals that will help you and ask you to dance and I am like the only one dead seriously willing to dance with them. I LOVE dancing with the pros. They know what they are doing and I love it when I pick up the steps quickly. It just feels like home being a dancer myself. I love it. But I can't go tonight because I am going out of town. So, I went on line earlier in the week to see if there was something else I could do. Aha! There are several other classes for $5 I can take. (EFND is $5) So I told my friend about it and she was like "call me just to make sure." But I never got a hold of her. So I decided to go by myself. Can you say "Private Lesson?" Oh yeah. Thursday night was a 'Salsa Practica." And well, I didn't know Salsa so I wanted to give it a try. I show up and everyone is leaving from the previous lesson. At first I was like 'Greeeeaaat. I'm gonna be the only teen here I bet." But then my favorite pro (about my height, tan, suave asian guy, total sweetie- we shared a nice rumba and waltz last Friday) offered me his arm and said "We're going to go ahead and start in this room. Looks like it's going to be me and you. *smile*" And I was like "Yes!" inside. Best hour and a half I've had in a long time. I picked it up really quick and he even told me that I should be in their next showcase. Their showcases are hysterically amazing. I was like "Ballet actually paid off for something.";)

Back from Disney!!!!

Disney was BUSY!!! It was fun but busy. I mean come on people! We are supposed to be in the middle of a recession and I'll tell ya you wouldn't know it fro the turn out in Orlando last week. Unless you were from Augusta trying not to be held hostage by all the crazed golf fans, technically you weren't supposed to be there. But no, EVERYONE and their brother was there! I mean, all my college buddies had their spring breaks like two weeks ago, so i figured that was when everyone else had their spring breaks. But Noooooo everyone had theirs the same week as mine.:( But hey I got to meet Jiminy Cricket! So, it wasn't too bad. :P

The Show was Awesome! (got pics!)

Hey guys! I'm terribly sad that it is over but Roar was phenomenal! I was absolutely terrified during my first Dress Rehearsal, but after a second good run on Friday, the shows were smooth... for me anyway. It was a blast playing the White Witch!

Wanna watch a spacing rehearsal?

Here is a video that I recorded of a spacing rehearsal yesterday at the theatre. If you have read my recent blogs, you know that I dance in a ballet each year called "The Roar of love" based on C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." This scene is called "Fenris Attacks." Fenris is the Captain of the White Witch's Secret Police. Fenris attacks Aslan's camp by the orders of the Witch in attempts to kill the remaining three Pevensie children. (The White Witch has the fourth one, Edmund.) I got the coveted and yet for me dreaded role of the White Witch. I am scared to death but very excited. The guy flying through the air is my friend/dance partner Michael. He is Fenris. The guy with the sword and who eventually "kills" Michael is Jonathan. He plays Peter. And the other guy who is directing 'Peter' in the beginning , taking his sword, and doing cool jumps, is Matthew, Michael's younger brother. He's a little older than I am and is Aslan. Matthew is the real dancer in the company. We kind of just hire Michael. Jonathan.... yeah. I don't know why he is still here. :P Oh, and Susan is my friend Lizzie. She's a cutie. I'm sure you can guess who everyone else is... random bad guys and good guys here and there.:P ... And yes, we use Star Wars music. Hey this ballet has been around longer than I have. (24 years) It's not my fault.:P:lol:

Okay. This is brilliant.

You all know me. I love Lion King. Greatest movie ever. And I adore soundtrack music. Hans Zimmer. A Genius! Well, I found this video on youtube. You have to watch it. It's hysterical and yet entirely epic. You should get a kick out of it. Ands leave comment. This person worked hard.;) Lion King: At World's End
