He said a bad word...in chinese...

After looking up some swear words in chinese, I have concluded that Lao Shi did, indeed, swear to Jake when he was ranting like that. And from what I looked up, and what all I concluded he said, Lao Shi has a very dirty mouth :P.

Chapter five of fanfic...

Ok, time for comedy!

Rose's POV:

My uncle brought me home around 7:00 PM, as I struggled to find an excuse for being late for dinner other than "Oh, I was training to become a dragon slaying ninja".

My search for an excuse was interrupted by my mother standing in front of me, tapping her foot the way she does when she expects an answer.

"Rose, you were supposed to be home two hours ago, you missed dinner."

"I know, but...I was...just...you know, hanging out at Uncle Chris's place."

"Doing what?"

"Uh, helping him with his...baseball card collection." Oh yeah, she's really gonna buy that, I thought.

"Well, ok, but don't be late again. I'll bring a plate of food up for you, go get started on your homework."

"Alright mom."

So, I went upstairs to do my homework. All was peaceful until Eric showed up.

"Rose, you gotta help me! Dad's tryin' to give me the talk!"

"So?"

"So?! I'm too young to have that man to man talk! And why isn't he trying to educate YOU on that?!"

"Well, like you always say, you are the oldest."

"By ten minutes! Come on, I don't wanna go to the school dance and not be able to look at my date!"

"Ten minutes or ten years....wait, you actually got someone to agree to go with you? Without giving them money?"

"Yeah, I'm goin' with Stacey".

"Eric, you can't be serious. Stacey? I can't believe I'm saying this but, you're too good for her. Of all people you could ask, and you want to go with miss polly preppy pants?"

"You're just jealous because you don't have a date."

"Not yet".

"You could always go with Long".

I never thought my brother could say something that would actually make me laugh, I was wrong. He had to be kidding. Me? And Jake?

"Rose, I'm serious, he's crazy for you".

"Then how come I never noticed?"

"You're too blind to see that he's crushin' on you?"

"Not seeing what isn't there doesn't make me blind."

"Rose seriously, the whole school can tell, I can tell!"

"Crush or not, I'm not going with Jake. We're friends, nothing more."

"Alright, but I'd wager he's in his room right now practicing asking you out."

"Whatever Eric."

I suddenly heard my father call Eric's name.

"Rose, come on, you have to hide me from him!"

"Okay, okay, go hide in my closet. He'll never look there."

"Thanks sis", he said, giving me a bone-crushing hug in the process.

He ran into the closet and shut the door just as our father was walking in, obviously looking for my brother.

"Rose, have you seen Eric, I wanna talk to him."

Now, I could've been the good little sister and lied, I just chose not to, and pointed to the closet.

Then, my thoughts went back to what Eric had said. Jake? Crushing, on me? Impossible. He always said he likes that swimming team captain, Danica I think.

But if he likes her, then why doesn't he ask her out? That voice in my head rang. It was then the possibility of my best friend and I becoming something more entered my head, but I quickly dismissed it. And for the second time that day, I questioned my conclusion.

Could the impossible be possible, could I be wrong, and my brother right?

To be continued...

This one makes me wanna empty the contents of my stomach. I don't believe I've ever said the word 'crush' so many times before. But, I had to add some comedy, and naturally, that comes from the brother Rose wishes she never had :P.

Chapter four of fanfic...

I know. I need to find a better place to post this than my blog, probably the garbage :P.

Rose's POV:

"Aw man!" I said to myself, repeating Jake's favorite phrase. "I'm gonna be late!" Although I was uncertain about what a Saturday with a bunch of dragon slaying ninjas would bring, one thing I knew for certain, my uncle DID NOT like those who were there late.

I ran in the door right on time, so I thought. I looked up to see the the angry face of my Uncle Chris.

"You're late", he said coldly.

"WHAT?! I'm right on time!"

"No, if you arrive even one second past the time I told you to come, then you are late. You came through that door three seconds past 3:00 PM. The next time it happens, you will be punished, understand?"

"Yes Uncle Chris".

"Another thing, here you do not address me as Uncle, but as master, disobedience to this will result in being thrown to a beast called the kraken, what is it you ask? I suggest you obey and not have to find out".

"Yes Uncle...er...master." I replied.

"Now, let's see what skills you have".

"What? But master, I haven't even been trained!"

"True enough, but remember what I told you, it's in your blood. Your birthmark indicates that you will naturally have some of these skills, even before training begins."

"Yes, master". How strange it seemed to call my own uncle my master.

"Now, I promise I won't hurt you. Begin".

As we fought, I realized my uncle had been right: I was almost a natural at fighting, at least the hand to hand combat. Not a professional by any means, but still, very good for someone with no training. We fought for about an hour and a half, my uncle finally prevailing.

"Very impressive, you have the potential to succeed me as leader of the Huntsclan. Nevertheless, you will still require training. Meet me every morning at 5:00 AM sharp, we will work on your skills here before you go to school. And it is best that you don't tell your parents about this, unless you want to be considered insane, as Hans Rotwood is. Now, you are free to leave".

"Yes, master. I won't be late".

"Be sure you that you aren't, for your sake".

And with that, I left. Great, I have to lie to my own parents, and brother, I thought. But, my uncle was right. If people knew what we did, they'd call us crazy, and we might even end up in jail as Rotwood did a few months ago. But still, my mother always said "Most secrets are no better than lies, and all of them yield the same fruits as lies do, some can even kill you."

But this was different, no harm could come from this, right?

...Right?

Stupid weather...

I know what you're thinking: I couldn't find a better thing to post on my blog than than how the weather is. What an EXCITING person I must be. Anyways, the weather has been anything but normal here lately. For the past few months, you could expect anything from a nice, warm, sunny day, to a day where you take cover because of tornado warnings, to a night where the sky is literally lit up because of a explosion just miles from my home, to snow one weekend, and then 70 degree weather and clear skies the next. It was freezing not long ago, and now, I'm dying from the heat. NOW that game the Packers and Giants played in the below 0 weather looks great. Or a hockey arena, whatever works.

My prank on my sibling...

My sibling took a hit to her pride this morning when me and my friend decided to put Phineas and Ferb wallpaper on her computer. Even better, my friend filmed her reaction. Now she knows not to mess with the all powerful amdragrocs and friend! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (credit to friend for filming). Now, I'm going to go enjoy my accomplishment, which I will get into no trouble for, since my mom approved of it

My background...

If you think this is going to be a blog about where I come from, and my past, your mistaken. I now have a ADJL background on my computer. :D

Oh great...

I have to go to a city kinda far from where I live, and so this saturday, I have to get up around three in the morning! Aw, where's the love for my sleep on weekends anymore? And then three weeks later I have to go back to said city, and then a week later back again for some family things. Ugh. Plus, I'm attending the wedding of a friend in June, and I have to dress up for it, dressing fancy is not the strongest point for someone who has lived in the country most of their lives, and is used to wearing whatever they like (not that I'm unhappy about this occassion, quite the opposite). And then I still have a month and three weeks of school left, and big tests on the last day that will likely determine if I fail or pass my grade. I'm starting to wonder how bad dropping out could possibly make your life. If it's this much trouble, then nevermind.
