My co-worker died.

*Sigh* He was gunned down in his car outside of his friend's home on friday morning..two days shy of his 20th birthday. It's a tragedy that he was so young and that he died in such a violent manner! I knew this guy and he was a very nice person and I just spoke to him the week before. Sometimes (shoot, who am I kidding.. most of the time), you would never think that when you speak to someone, it could very well be the last time you do. So, when one of my other co-workers called me to infom me of his death, I was stunned. I can only imagine how his friends (with whom he just came from the club that morning) took the news.

Things like this really does remind one of his/her own mortality as well. I know of the saying, "Live everyday as if it's your last" . But, we as people never really do live day to day thinking that it could be our last. Usually it's the last thing we think about until something tragic happens and it hits close to home. Only then, do we realize that everyday we've been given is indeed a blessing and tomorrow is not guranteed.

May your soul rest in peace, Raymond.

This song is stuck in my head....and I love it, lol.

Seriously, this song "Hideaway" by Tessane Chynn is awesome. Her vocals are amazing and this song has a nice combination of rock and reggae. When I first heard it, I was hooked! It reminds me of this guy I like and listening to this song makes me want him more. I know it's pathetic but that's the way it is....for now. Okay back to the subject, you guys gotta listen to this song!

Here's the link to the video.

My birthday

Yep today's my birthday and I'm gonna party like a rockstar tonight, lol. I'm a quarter of a century old now.

Toonami's tenth anniversary.

I was watching the toonami block since I was off from work yesterday. Then when I saw a bunch of flashback toonami moments, it hit me.

"It's been ten years since toonami came on the CN scene."

That's when I realized that toonami was indeed celebrating the big 10 and that was the reason for all the flashbacks. I think they should have ran the toonami block longer than usual and brought on some of the old shows. But hey, that's just my opinion. All in all, happy tenth anniversary toonami! I would really love to see what they'll do for their fifteenth and twentieth anniversaries.

Who in da mornin'? COBRAS!!!

C.C Sweeting on ya case, C.C. Sweeting all in ya face! We beat dem C.I. Gibson rattlers 'cus COBRA PRIDE STILL IN STRIDE!!!

Okay, okay, I got into my Bahamian diaclect kick. I'm just excited because the boys' basketball team from my old school just won the Hugh Campbell Basketball Tournament. To tell you the truth,  I honestly thought that they were gonna lose to C.I. Gibson (since their boys' basketball team were the Hugh Campbell champions for three years in a row). My sister (who also graduated from the same school I attended), even thought they were gonna lose. I'm so glad they won, especially knowing that it is their first Hugh Campbell championship. I'm gonna pay C.C. Sweeting a visit tis week.

One more thing...who in da mornin'? COBRAS!!!

That's right...cobra pride still in stride.

I watched Dreamgirls!

Yes I did. I went to the movies with my sister and we watched it yesterday .  I'll tell you one thing...I loved it and I would recommend this movie for anyone to watch. Even though Dreamgirls does have its share of triumph, drama and tragedy, if you don't do broadway based movies and you're anticipating some heavy-duty drama, you'll be disappointed. All in all, I still enjoyed it.

Note to self:  Jennifer Hudson is a far better singer than Beyonce (not to say that Beyonce can't sing...I just think Jennifer is better).

I must get the DVD when it comes out.

One more thing....HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
