OK first and last bad idea on this page...Kinect integration. Just leave it be. Kinect has pretty much gone as far as it will go. Just like the WiiMote, the shine has worn off. The casuals are off chasing something else, and are actually more likely to latch onto the Wii U controller than another Kinect.

Man I so hope this is an open world project for Vita like Burnout Paradise. It could actually be a multiplatform game that happens to also be getting a port to Vita.

@gbpiranha I agree its not a 9.0 game, but 7.5 puts it in some pretty average at best company as far as Gamespot rating shooters. I'd give it an 8.3. Warhawk got an 8.5, and Starhawk still has its Warhawk roots done right. Dock it a little if you think they didnt improve the formula as much as needed.

@gay4pandas true, but then MAG got the 8.0 on Gamespot that most felt Starhawk at least deserved. haha

@MafiaMusic metacritic is at 77 because of a couple of sites that tanked the game with a 6.0. 13 of 22 reviews up posted a 7.9 or better (only one of those posting 7.9) which means most agree with the posters on here that an 8.0 at least is deserved. Gamespot isnt the lowest but they are definitely on the low end.

@EmperorSupreme this is why I would still give it at least an 8 if not 8.5. Sure the gameplay may not appeal to everyone, but what it does, it does well...a lot like MAG> Im not a huge fan of Warhawk myself, but I know people who are. It's a highly popular game on PSN. Starhawk is the same. Its not going to appeal to everyone, but it does what it set out to do very well. It doesn't have any maddening technical issues that hinder the gameplay, so there is no reason to give it a 7.5 which is not regarded as a good score when put up against its peers.

@wwlettsome I think it depends on who's playing. Some sites are saying 6-8. Either way, it doesnt sound like much more than an introduction to the new mechanics.

@SolidSnakeFan There nothing stupid about it. These arent two disconnected games. I'm not comparing Starhawk to Halo 3. Starhawk is the sequel to Warhawk. Its called consistency. The Warhawk/Starhawk formula is unique among shooters. Expectations of other shooters are meaningless. The only measuring stick you have is what you gave Warhawk.

But then maybe your right. They should add perks, no recoil weapons, remove the ability to create structures, and have the starhawks fly on autopilot and light targets up for you since that seems to be where every other shooter is going these days.

Well, Warhawk got an 8.5 on here with no single player at all, shoddy ground combat mechanics, and a steep learning curve. A new player in Warhawk was in for a rude awakening just the same as Starhawk. I dont understand why Starhawk has to get docked when it actually improves on many areas of Warhawk.

I'd give it an 8.5 myself. 9.0 is a bit much because I'm still not a fan of the overall gameplay of either Warhawk or Starhawk, but I still respect is as a very good game and one of the more popular on PSN.
