Halo: Combat Evolved

 I really am a Halo fanboy... :)

Call it a downgrade all you want, claim ownage, I don't care. The game looks damn good and I can't wait until it comes out. 

FPS and Acton/adventure games.

 I like a mix of the two the best though, like RB6:Vegas and Splinter Cell... they make you think while still allowing you to shoot. Good mix.

I enjoyed ACE Combat 4 on the PS2, I used to play it at my buddy's house all the time.

Can't wait for this one :) 

Why would you ruin a potentially perfect first impression by playing a buggy and incomplete build of a game that probably doesn't have anything resembling a campaign yet?magus-21

This is the EXACT reason I am not playing the Halo 3 beta :)

When I play Halo 3 for the first time, I want it to be playing the first level of the campaign. 

For me?

My friend got his 360 a month after release, and the first game I saw him play was Oblivion... when he first stepped out of the first dungeon and onto the landscape, I was completely blown away.

And just for kicks I'll add last generation too. After having my N64 for a few years and drooling over Halo for months, I finally sat down with Halo and my new Xbox on Christmas morning, and the graphics blew me away. I couldn't believe they were real :P

we've seen this before, mafioso is set loose in a bustling city with a rocket launcher, kills old ladies, does drugs etc...

both games sound like they will raise some eyebrows, and i think both will be fun....but which one will be the new poster boy for controvercial video games???

 Nah, if Christians are made fun of or set in a bad light (or killed, like you said) that's prefectly fine. If it was a Christian assigned with assassinating Muslim leaders... then THAT would be controversial.

Funny how society is nowadays, eh? Christians can be slandered and made fun of to one's heart's content, but any other religion in the world is virtually untouchable.

And GTA will always be more controversial.
