All this rests on one flaw though, as a business you try and improve year upon year, which Microsoft doesn't seem to be doing. Releasing more now, will bring in more revenue for 2008, to be invested again in a cycle. You don't just stop and take a year off because you are "winning". It isnt what businesses do

In that response lies a flaw. Every month, especially in Europe, the 360 is vastly selling better Year over year.
Yes but businesses always try and press an advantage to further the revenue made. They have a responsibility to the shareholders of a company. Shareholders won't be happy if a company just takes a year off and just lets it's console sell out, they'll want to push more, increasing their own payout.
I just realised I put 2008 instead of 2009.
The list I made hardly says they are taking a year off. I dont know if your aware but there are plenty 360/PC games scheduled for 09 and ODST will surely cause a stir.
When people talk about Microsoft here why do they always seem to forget the existence of Games For Windows? Games for Windows is just as much Microsoft's platform as Xbox is.Zero5000X

Alot of Europe is in favor of the PS3. In Countries like France and Germany I believe PS3 has surpassed 360 and even in the UK with PS3 having a higher price that they are essentially neck and neck. While the 360 may be outselling the PS3 currently in North America, the global picture always paints a different picture. In 2007 the PS3 outsold the 360 worldwide, and in 2008 they where essentially equal. And with the apparent PS3 price drop coming eventually sales will begin to increase past the 360 again.
Well europe is practically even in 09. But it is in fact 3rd world sales (south america, middle east, south africa, and non-japan asia) that generally push the 360 sales past PS3.

No..... It popularized it for consoles at the very least. And like it or not, the fps genre is more popualar on consoles then PC, despite not having the antequated mouse/keyboard.

If you knew anythign about the Halo universe.........youd know that snake could even touch chief since "John" has reaction times 4x greater then normal humans and could counter Snake before hed even know it. He take snakes arm, snap it in two, and toss Snake aside like a rag doll. Lets say snake does get his hands on chief........his genetically augmented bones and muscles render them virtually unbreakable. Snake couldnt snap chiefs neck if he tried. And this is all assumed that John ISNT wearing his MJOLNIR armor. lol @ snake > Chief
