I was really surprised that no one chose Marley... he was my 1st choice for producer after Premo went, but I just had to take Questlove after choosing Badu.

Honestly, some of the lists on here are snoozefests. Good rappers, good producers... but just boring. Some more entertainment rappers (Weezy, Kanye, etc...) would have been good choices. That's pretty much the only reason I took Weezy... there were tons of better rappers to choose, but my list wouldn't have any really entertaining people. A lot of them lacked variety too. Just the same dope, similar artists over and over again, with no artist that really brought something that would stand out. Like Wyclef and Lauryn rapping back to back is tight and all, but when you throw Weezy in there (considering he is on his rap ish... D2, C2, C1, some of C3, etc...), it just makes the track more interesting.

Anyway... Badu + Lauryn on a track together puts my label > everythang. Wyclef and Weezy wouldn't be as nice, but still pretty good. I have no idea how Weezy and Lauryn would sound :?.. Same with Weezy and Badu. But I know Lauryn and Wyclef would RAPE ?uestlove production... And Weezy could probably flow over it. I've never heard him not ride a beat well tbh...

wow...you think your team is the best, what a shock

your team sucks btw

No, actually I don't. How about you go back a few pages and reread smart guy :|.

There really isn't any point to your post. Why does it suck? If you're going to just randomly proclaim something atleast put some substance in your statement.

Your team was actually one of the ones that I thought I could beat with a team of free agents. First of all, Wayne is wack, which is a shame because he could be real if he worked with producers that would help him shine. Nothing against Questlove, but I don't think he would match up with Weezy at all, he could probably ride his beats but he wouldn't be at his best. Questlove would work well with the 2/3s of the Fugees that you have, but you have some sort of strange obsession with the Fugees leading you to think that they are a lot better than they are, so for someone that isn't you, picking Lauryn and Wyclef isn't as devastating as you think it is. Badu is ok, but nothing incredible. That's why he thinks your crew "sucks" and it wasn't a random proclaimation.

It's actually pretty dope. Not really a full Wu-Tang album, GZA and Meth aren't on it, but some of the collabs work out great.

I found the Alchemist album hell boringfat_rob
I did too, which is really disappointing after the Cookbook EP. The beats were ok, but the guest spots were pretty bad. He's probably saving all his best beats to give to EV for his new album.

I'm only going to do one of these right now, and that's producer of the decade. I have to pick Black Milk because I haven't heard him ever make a bad beat. He's on some next level ****.

If any new artist is going to drop a classic, it's going to be Jay Electronica.

The ironic thing is that Jeru's longtime producer DJ Premier ALSO produced Biggie's "Kick in the Door," and after "Kick in the Door" was released, Jeru the Damaja and DJ Premier never worked with each other again....

HaSheeSh_basic

I thought that Jeru and Premo never collabo'd again because Premo slept with Jeru's sister....:?

No one really knows, that's why I left it open when I mentioned it. Other people say it was a financial dispute. But I do think Premo producing Kick in the Door is a much more plausible cause than Premo sleeping with Ru's sister or whatever else is out there.

how could "Kick In The Door" be a problem? Was there a dispute between Jeru and Biggie?

Kick in the Door dissed Nas, Ghostface/Raekwon and Jeru in the final verse. He went at Jeru because of the reference he made to Bad Boy in the song One Day, off the Wrath of Math I think.

This tape is wack IMO. Wale gets outshined on almost every track and 9th gives him a collection of the most boring beats I've heard.

Honestly, if CH dropped an album with good guest features, no skippables, good replay value, and the innovation in beats he has used so far, I'd call it a classic, considering that he rapped like he usually does. elpooz

You could say that for just about anybody tho lol

Well I guess. I just chose CH because he is dope and innovative, rather than just dope. I'd rather have an album like that from him, than from Elzhi. They are both dope, but Elzhi isn't making amazing beats out of random sounds :P

Incorporating non-musical sounds into beats is a pretty lame argument for how CH is leading this era in terms of innovation. A new technique in sampling would only be a small part of a new golden age, people would also need to try to change up their approach to lyricism, and beatmaking as a whole. I honestly see Blu being the most likely to help lead a future golden age, mainly because he's put out 3 recent albums, all sounding different and working with different people. 2 of these albums were really good (Below the Heavens & Johnson&Jonson), while the C.R.A.C. Knuckles project was pretty weak, it was an attempt at something different so I'll let it slide. Even that new mixtape he put out a couple months back was really dope, and he tried his hand at producing which worked out well. More rappers need to match Blu's ambition, because while he is ambitious, he isn't overambitious like these clowns who drop 2 mixtapes a month.
