Most worrying line from the review:

"For example, the gameplay doesn't stray too far from Halo 2, which, in turn, didn't exactly reinvent the original Halo. Don't take that as a negative, because it means that Halo 3 plays extremely well, with the same types of light tactical considerations that have made the series stand apart from other, faster-paced shooters."

I'll take that as a negative.

The only things changed (single player wise) from what I've comprehended from the review was the addition of more weapons, weapon weight affecting speed, items such asbubble shields, and unlockable difficulty modifiers.

Really makes me think I won't enjoy Halo 3.

Technoweirdo

You can only improve on perfection so much.

That is what he is saying.

Plus read and see different reviews. Apparently the difficulty changes the game up.

Like when Greg says that the equipment in the single player is maybe not necessary.

Well in Legendary according to Gametrailers it is a necessity.

[QUOTE="effekt125"]u see, unlike halo.. playstation never relied on 1 game to make or break the system, killzone doesnt need a 9.5, an 8.5-9 would be finep2rus

360 has a ton of great games.

What he is saying is specific to Halo 3 and the cows Halo killer Killzone 2.

Stop trying to deflect.

no acutally he says that 80% of cows will be owned if kz2 doesnt get 9.5...

so basically my question is does 360 have mgs4? cause i mean, its got a great lineup, but it wont have mgs.

And MGS isn't even a AAA franchise like Halo is.

So please use a AAA franchise to make your point.

Sorry - double post. I agree with Jeff that this game is going to be flooded with annoying 10 year olds for a long time.

REVENGEotSITH

It might be. No. It will be.

But guess what I won't know. Because as soon as I hear those squeeky voices. I will pause and press x and that will be the end of the squeekiness.

Plus in ranked games you can only hear them if they are on your team.

[QUOTE="Imallvol7"]with how hard everyone scores games these days, i really dont understand how halo 3 gets perfect almost everywhere. It's has subpar graphics, short single player, and repetitive textures and boring room design as described in many of the articles. I love halo and will definitely buy a 360 here in the next week or so so i can play multiplayer to death, but i think these reviewers are caught up in the hype train as well, or even worse, actually AFRAID to award it anything less than perfect.effekt125

Your delusional and jealous.

jealous of what?? graphics? no... gameplay? no.. singleplayer? no..

That describes Warhawk flawlessly.

i dont remember mentioning warhawk or ps3 at all, i was speaking in general, but warhawk actually has unique gameplay

Well Warhawk fits way more perfectly with your statement about graphics, gameplay and singleplayer.

As we all know Halo 3 has great graphics, great gameplay and a great single player campaign.

As far as warhawks unique gameplay, its just Battlefield lite.

Has anyone put down a bet on this game? I said i'd destroy my computer with a hammer and film it if it gets less than a 9.5. It doesn't really bother me though as i have a godly new rig ready to be set up and the laptop i'm posting on right now is so bad i honestly cant wait to destroy it and probably will even if the game gets a 10. :PNinja-Vox

Yeah if scores less than 9.0.it will be hard to accept.

I mean Warhawk got an 8.5 with only multiplayer.

Halo 3 has world class multiplayer and a single player,

So anything less than 9.0 will be weird.

The Halo community is horrible. I went to a friends house to play halo 2 on live, and neither of us played it in like a months time, we forgot the crouch button, so we ask on live and everyone in the room starts laughing and shouts out noob, omg, get out, we will own you.Star67

Yeah it is.

It would be fine if it wasn't for the racist and sexual references, especially from kids.

[QUOTE="PC360Wii"]Singing kids in the CoD4 beta is the worst ... doesnt help that the game is boring as hell anyway.ParkCarsHere

Wow... I must've downloaded a different version of the beta. Mine is awesome! Maybe I'll show you how to get it sometime. Great gameplay, awesome graphics, and no annoying kids!

On to Halo 2: I don't play because of all the whiny kids, who will also be going to Halo 3, sadly. Muting is a very poor option because if I mute them I risk the chance of missing the one valuable thing they say all game long, and therefore die or lose the game because I couldn't hear them.

Sure, it's a longshot, having a little kid tell me something useful, but it's not a chance I'm willing to risk in an online game! :P

We will see. Halo 3 handles voice chat differently for ranked games.

You can only hear and speak with your own team.

Wasn't this always the case? I haven't played it for a long time, but it was always that way wasn't it? I would search for it on Google, but I'm so scared of spoilers that I minimize my "Halo 3" information :P

Kinda. If you were close enough to the other team they could hear you.
