And I agree with the majority here, I'd miss MS the least.  They lack of 1st party games, I have no interest in any of their first party games (PGR is the exception), XBL fees, Kinect focused console, and the shitty rumors about their next console isn't helping either. 

Considering that we are on Gamespot, I don't think this game will score above a 7.5  My hype is A.

Even if it is, not all patents made are released, wouldn't put it past MS though.

I just had an idea, it's kinda gimmicky but whatever.

Someone said maybe it could be used to open doors, well what if you needed to scan your thumb to unlock a door.  You'd place your thumb on the touchpad to gain entry (kinda stole the idea from LBP Vita, but I think it would fit well in a stealth shooter or something along those lines).

Nope, I'll just keep my PS3 to play my PS3 games.  I'm getting a PS4 to play PS4 games.

I can see it being used for menus, would be quicker to scroll though large lists.  I could see it being used on map screens as well, pinching to zoom in, and just quicker way to get from one side of a map to another by swiping.  Web browsing would be a lot easier on PS4 than it was on PS3, could use the touchpad like a laptop's track pad.

For gameplay uses I don't see much, maybe puzzle solving in games like LBP (the touch and backtouch in LBP Vita was really good).  You could maybe use it to bring up the scoreboard, cause there is no more select buttion.

Keep in mind that the touchpad is clickable, so even if devs don't use it as a touchpad they can just use it as a regular button.

Overall I think it will mostly help out in menus, maybe devs will be able to surprise us with some other uses they can find for it.

Dude for me to win does not mean to outsell... it's like saying that Wii won the previous gen, yes it sold the most but wtf... was it a serious console or something? The real battle was between PS3 and xbox and for me xbox won until the mid of the gen and at the end PS3 overthrew it and won the gen.

So yes.. 3DS might have the numbers but I think VITA will come real close and will provide the true quality that gamers seek. Look I'm not comparing 3DS to Wii. 3DS has good games... Fire Emblem, LM2, Zelda (which I'm a huge fan) etc... but imho eventually VITA will offer better + it's superior hardware and screen are A BIG ADVANTAGE and PLUS.

I think it'll be close, people around here don't give the Vita's library enough credit though, and will disagree without giving it a second thought.  I think that the Vita already has a better library, but I know that's not the popular opinion. 

Yeah the Vita kills the 3DS in hardware, and PS+ is certainly a...well, a plus haha.  PS4 remote play will be awesome for the Vita too, I can see myself playing some Watch_Dogs or inFamous Second Son on Vita, laying in bed right before I go to sleep.

Own both Handhelds... so far 3ds looks more promising, I mean more games etc but
Eventually Vita will start selling more and will win... mark my words. Vita already started selling real strong in Japan! After E3 it will start in EU and NA as well.

One thing I have to point out, after playing Vita and going back to 3DS, I need some time to get used to it again... damn it's resolution simply sucks compared to VITA's.
