[QUOTE="-Halftime-"][QUOTE="AHUGECAT"]

It's all about hype, and not actual defense ability.

Will you STFU already about hype, honestly? That's all you do in every thread, whine and moan about "Hype" and then get owned in arguements. GTFO.

QFT. But on topic for the most part i agree with the selection, KG is the only questionable pick and even then it's not for a lack of talent.

[QUOTE="BaraChat"][QUOTE="ASK_Story"]Did you guys know LeBron was voted second for defensive player of the year next to Howard? Yeah, LeBron went crazy this year, and he's only 25! That's scary.-Halftime-
Yes I noticed. But LeBron is an extremely overrated defender. He's a good defender, of course, but waaaay overrated, even for a "perimeter defender". Kobe Bryant, DWade, Chris Paul, Bruce Bowen, Ron Artest to name a few, are better than LeBron is on defense. Look at Wade, 2.2 spg and 1.3 bpg (to LeBron 1.7 and 1.1), first player under 6'6 to record 100 blocks in a season. LeBron got all those votes because his blocks are simply more "spectacular".

Yeah. I mean he's vastly improved in that area, especially when you look how sorry of a defender he was in his first few years but I definitely don't see him as some kind of defensive demon. When I see people mentioning him as the best two way player since Jordan I just roll my eyes. People need to calm down.

That makes three of us. I am bewildered by the nba.com writers trying to convince us that he is a elite defender when he probably isn't even 1st defensive team material

Hmm, Luke pwns all of them in terms of pure power, though Yoda had far more experience.
Too bad Revan's not up there. He's easily the most formidable in the Star Wars universe...

Jacen Solo.......out of those Yoda.... Darth-Caedus
Luke kicked Jacen's backside, and in his prime he will beat everyone on the poll.

I like the Kobe commercial because as he is running forward, he has two guys wide open behind him, but pulls up and takes the shot anyways with two hands in his face. Vintage Kobe.monkeytoes61
And this is a Vintage Kobe hater.

Oh yeah if the guy in the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring destroyed Sauron by cutting his fingers off with his sword I'm sure Palpatine could do the same I mean he has a lightsaber

First of all, Sauron would smite him before he could. Second, if he managed to slice off the Ring Sauron wouldn't be dead. That's his ace in the hole, the One Ring to Rule Them All. You see, if either Voldemort or Palpatine cut it off they would keep it for themselves instead of casting it into the fire. Then the Ring would find a way to betray them, have theme killed, and return to it's master. Sauron simply can not be beaten by but someone so selfless (frodo) that they can destroy the Ring.

Also, don't forget that Sauron isn't just some tall dude in armor. He has other powers that make Palpatine look like an arthritic circus performer.

Like?
