@skyhighgam3r: Well if you've been a Bowie fan for 10-20 years or more, I can see why this would hit pretty hard. Music is something very personal to a lot of people.
All due respect, "I got to shoot stuff in the face" is way down the list of things I, as a huge ME fan, would want to hear. Especially when it happens during the game's first hour.
ME3 had good combat. But that was never why I played these games. When it wants to, Mass Effect does exploration and world building extremely well, so if this turns out to be primarily a shooter I'll be somewhat sad. I know this is just the game's first hour, but remember how the older games started? ME1 has you walk around the Normandy and meet a bunch of characters and landing on Eden Prime. ME2 has the destruction of the Normandy and then the rather long section where you're brought back to life. No real shooting in either of these. Then you have ME3 where you barely even know what's happened between 2 and 3, before the Reapers blow up the building you're in and husks are rushing you from all directions. I for one preferred the slower introductions of 1 and 2.
But I guess they've at least learned something because Inquisition seemed to take its time too. I sure hope so.
